LOGINCHAPTER EIGHTY-FOURISABELLA’S POVAfter falling asleep beside Adrian, his voice woke me up. He was talking on the phone. I could barely hear the words he was saying but I could see that he was angry.“What is it?” I asked. He was about to reply to me when his phone rang and he answered the call. “Tell me you have good news.” He said to the person on the other end. I couldn’t hear the person’s reply. “I hope it’s good.” The call ended and he went on his phone. I could see the shock on his face but I didn’t know what.“What is it?” I asked again.“The PI just called. He’s done with his investigation on Dominic.” He answered.“And?”“It’s nothing.” He shook his head. “Don’t worry about it. Go to your room and get proper sleep.”I could tell it was something big from his expression. He didn’t just want to tell me.“No.” I said. “Tell me. I want to be involved in this. Are you forgetting that this man kidnapped me twice? I want to know who he is.”“Go to sleep, Isabella. I’m going back
CHAPTER EIGHTY-THREEADRIAN’S POV“What is it?” I asked. He sighed before answering. “Our shipment that was supposed to come in today was seized. Apparently, they received an anonymous tip.”“That shipment is clean.” I stated.“I know and they know that but they have refused to release it.” He answered.“I’ll call someone.” I said.“Thats not all.”“What is it again?”“The hotel is being investigated for money laundering claims.”“What?” I yelled. “How?”“They received an anonymous tip. They're on their way there already.”I took a deep breath. “I’m on my way. There’s nothing to worry about. They won’t find anything because there’s nothing illegal going on at my hotel.”“Okay. I’ll meet you there, sir.” He said and hung up.“What happened?” Isabella asked.“There’s a problem at work.” I answered.“A big problem or a small problem?”“Hopefully a small one. I can’t afford for this to be bigger than it already is.”“You mentioned something illegal. Is this with the police or something?”
CHAPTER EIGHTY-TWOADRIAN’S POVAfter making sure Theo and Isabella were safe, I left the house. My guys had tried to track Dominic but he went ghost again. Julius was an easy catch so I sent them after him. He was being held in one of my warehouses.I tried to stay calm on the drive there. With the amount of rage flowing through me, I was bound to kill him. I needed to get some answers first so I calmed myself down.I got out of the car and walked inside the warehouse.“Wake him up.” I ordered. One of the men dumped a bucket of cold water on him and hit him until he finally regained consciousness.“What? Where am I?” He groaned.“I’m going to ask you some questions and whether you walk out of here alive or not depends on the answers you give me.” I said cutting straight to the chase.“Adrian.” He finally recognized me. “I swear to God, I don’t know anything. Let me go. Please.” He begged.I rolled up my sleeves and stepped forward. I grabbed his neck and threw a punch to his face. I
CHAPTER EIGHTY-ONEADRIAN'S POVI said I was going to let Sebastian handle Julius and Dominic but I couldn’t help but worry about Isabella. Even though I still had a week left of work in Spain, I tried to take care of everything so I could handle it from Chicago. I left Sebastian in charge and got back on the jet to fly straight to Chicago. When I landed and got to the house, the sun was just rising. Theo and my mum were coming down the stairs when I got in.“Daddy, I missed you.” Theo threw himself at me.“I missed you too, Theo.” I smiled.“I thought you weren’t going to be back until next week.” My mum said as she hugged me.“That was the plan but I couldn't just be there after what happened.” I answered truthfully. “Where’s Isabella?”“She wasn't in her room so we came downstairs to see if she was already up.” She said as we walked into the living room.Isabella wasn't awake as my mum had thought. She was asleep on the couch and it looked like she had slept there intentionally.“
CHAPTER EIGHTYISABELLA’S POVI was still in a state of shock by the time I’d gotten to Adrian’s house. What if he hadn’t called me? What if I had refused to take his call? I would have been shot and nobody would have found my killers. I was sure of it.I still couldn’t believe that Julius had a hand in it. Did the breakup hurt him that much that he wanted to kill me? Even though he had been the one to end things between us.After an hour of staying at Adrian’s house, his mother and Theo joined me. “Are you okay, love?” Vivian asked.“No.” I shook my head. I didn’t want to lie. “I almost died.”“But you didn’t.” She squeezed my hands gently. “You’re okay now. Adrian will take care of it.”“I should have listened to him.” I cried. “I shouldn’t have met up with Julius. He warned me. I was angry at him and it clouded my thinking and it almost cost me my life.”“You’re okay now.” She hugged me. “It’s alright. You just wanted to get answers.”“I should have listened to him. I can’t believ
CHAPTER SEVENTY-NINEADRIAN’S POVThe workload on me had doubled. Sebastian was focused on solving the Dominic and Julius mystery and that meant I had to take on some of his responsibilities. I wasn’t complaining though. I had done more work before.I hadn’t spoken to Isabella since I basically schooled her about Julius. I didn’t stop texting her though, even if she didn’t respond to any of my texts. I still communicated with Theo on the phone. I was hoping that she would say hi but there was never a word from her. After a long day, I finally returned to my hotel room. It was only one week till we were done with this madness and back in Chicago. I got out my phone and sent a text to Isabella. I didn’t ever stop to think if I was overbearing. I spent the last few days telling her how my day went and about my feelings for her.I didn’t expect her to reply so once I sent the text, I threw my phone on the bed and went into the shower. I came back out a few minutes later to find Sebastian
CHAPTER TWENTY NINE ISABELLA’S POVThe ache from every part of my body dragged me back to reality. I was having a hard time remembering where I was or what happened in the last few hours.“Bella, wake up.” I recognized Julius’ voice. “She’ll be fine, don’t worry.” That was Sebastian. I finally r

CHAPTER TWENTY FOURADRIAN’S POVI hung up the phone and turned to face Isabella’s mother. “Do you believe me now?”She was still in shock. “I can’t believe my daughter would hide something like that from me.
