I stayed hidden in the room and tried to hold my breath most of the time as I peeked outside the room through the cracks in the door.

The temple was empty. So, little noises like even breathing were loud.

Gradually, the footsteps disappeared into faint sounds. And finally, I couldn't hear it anymore.

Funny. But it was after the footsteps stopped that my heart began to hit me like a drum.

My hands were already sweaty, and I only noticed that now. “I never knew until today that I was a scared cat”. I muttered. Though I didn't blame myself. The doors leading outside the temple were shut.

As a result of that, I was scared out of my pants because I didn't know any other exit.

Like literally, it hasn't been up to ten minutes since I entered the temple.

I wouldn't lie, thanks to those footsteps, I was ready to get the heck out of this temple. There was this saying; He who runs away, lives to fight another day.

That was indeed the truth.

Once I eventually make it out of this temple asap, I must inform my colleagues about this village, so that we can all come to explore it together.

At least, if anything went wrong, I wouldn't be the only one who died tragically while exploring.

Anyway, with the sounds of footsteps gone, I was relieved and turned around the room, only to find a coffin inside the room with me.

If I hadn't been extra careful, I almost screamed.

Not because I was very scared, but because I was surprised and caught off guard. During a dangerous moment like this, where I was supposed to run away for my life after discovering that the room was a tomb, I began to walk cautiously and attentively towards the coffin.

It is no wonder people always say that we scientists were a crazy bunch.

Whatever.

The moment I stood next to the stone coffin, I bent down and pushed its cover open with a heavy groan.

The coffin dramatically turned out to be empty, but I regretted my actions in less than a second, after a strong force dragged and pulled me into the coffin.

Before I lost consciousness, I heard a loud echoing bang.

It was the stone cover that I had pushed off the coffin that made a loud bang as it covered the coffin.

Unknown narrator's pov,

The other world (Selitopian), that was separated from the human world through a single, but hidden portal.

Humans have no idea that a world like Selitopian existed.

Neither did the people of Selitopian have any idea that a world like earth existed.

Actually, there were a few people in Selitopian who knew about the existence of earth. A world that was far different from theirs.

The Selitopian world consisted of four different kingdoms, which were located respectively in the North, East, South and West.

Each kingdom was unique in their own ways.

Located in the North, was the Kingdom of Silverious. A Kingdom ruled by the royal dragons with the purest noble blood, with its citizens who consisted of dragons and elves.

Silverious was the wealthiest Kingdom in all of Selitopian.

It was known for its tall crystal buildings that were almost touching the clouds. Combined with its many magnificent trees, which were believed to have good spirits living in them.

While in the East was located the kingdom of Euphagrim. This kingdom was ruled by the royal werewolves.

Unlike the kingdom of Silverious that had many tall buildings, the people of Euphagrim lived in pack houses that were mostly built using exquisite woods.

The citizens under the reign of the royal werewolves were their fellow werewolves and cat shifters.

While in the South was located the kingdom of Sivieri, ruled by the most powerful vampire families.

Compared to the Kingdoms of Silverious and Euphagrim, the Kingdom of Sivieri was not fancy. Although most powerful vampires in the kingdom had large mansions, they were painted black.

And due to the spells that were cast ages ago on the kingdom, no one could distinguish between morning and night, because the kingdom was always dark and covered with mist.

The people of Sivieri were known for being bloodsuckers, and had the ability to use spells.

The few vampires who were able to use spells were known as witches and wizards.

And lastly, located in the West was the Kingdom of Gwafindol.

At first glance, you might confuse them to be humans, as they look exactly like humans. But, they were called the unknowns, and were feared by the three kingdoms because of the strange powers that surrounded them.

There were dwarfs also who were living in the kingdom of Gwafindol. The dwarfs were responsible for building weapons for the people of Gwafindol.

In Gwafindol, the kingdom was ruled by the chosen family.

There were many luxurious mansions and houses in the kingdom.

But one of the most important things there was the school it had.

The school was one of the biggest, the most powerful, and the most influential school there was in the entirety of Selitopian. Although it was one of Gwafindol's most powerful citizens who was the owner of the school, people from all over the three kingdoms came to Gwafindol every year to take exams and probably hoped to pass and be enrolled in the school.

The people of Gwafindol also were enrolled in the school.

But, apart from that, it was extremely hard to pass the school's exams and get enrolled in it. No matter whether you are a royal or of noble blood or birth, you could never buy your way into the school.

That was the first rule set by the first founder of the school.

Thus, the name, ‘Phanatanum’, was given to the school. Meaning, prestigious.

I remembered entering the temple, but I didn't know what happened after that, and how I ended up in this place. Suddenly, I lowered my gaze and glanced at my jacket. My eyes widened, and I had to look at the jacket again, because I could not find the body camera that I had hung on the jacket before I entered the temple. I rose to my feet quickly as I looked around, but the body camera was nowhere to be found. I even had to remove my backpack from my back and look inside of it, searching for the body camera, even though I was certainly sure that it was on my jacket that I had hung the body camera earlier. With my backpack on the floor and my hands on my hips, I began to wonder. Today seemed really off. That village, especially that temple, was weird. I have to return home now. Later, I will return to the village with my colleagues to explore it together. I grabbed my backpack and hung it on my back, before I began to leave. Twenty minutes after walking endlessly with heavy groan

Wails!Rumble, rumble, rumble! It was the same ordinary day in Selitopian, until suddenly, a very threatening earthquake hit the land, bringing fear to the hearts of the people. Houses shook. Mansions shook. The dwelling places of the rulers also shook, threatening to collapse to the ground.People were screaming, and were trying to get to safety. The earthquake rendered even the most powerful helpless. Within the deepest room in the mansion of Gwafindol's ruler, the book of prophecy that had remained shut for years, opened. The blind seer's eyes opened, revealing a pair of white eyes as she stared in the direction of the large-sized book that was placed on a stone that was meters tall. She was sitting on a chair and her body never stopped shaking as concrete dust escaped from the ceiling and found its way to the floor. It was the earthquake's doing. The seer with white hair was in charge of guarding the book of prophecy that had shut itself for years, refusing to open. It was

Only a small amount of light through the hole, and my torchlight reflected in the darkness. The village was built using red and light yellow clay. And unlike cities where buildings were built apart from each other, this village's buildings were built so close to each other. But there was a particular building that stood out among the other buildings. It was a temple which was located in the middle of the village and straight ahead in front of me. I had made my way there before, but I didn't explore the inside, since I didn't want to explore it with a sprained ankle. I may be reckless, but that didn't mean that I didn't care about my life. What if I had explored the temple with my sprained ankle and mistakenly ran into something dangerous?Yes. I have concluded that not a single alive soul was in the village. But I can never be so sure about that, since I have not explored the entire village. The only thing I did was call out if anyone was there. My voice echoed with no response.

I arrived outside the North Forest and parked my jeep there. After grabbing my backpack from the back seat, I went out of the Jeep and locked the door. Staring at the vast forest in front of me, I sighed deeply and smiled, before taking a brave step forward. I entered the forest and didn't have a hint of fear in me. That was one of the main reasons why my colleagues and other people called me crazy. Whatever. I was not a weakling nor a coward like them. It was because of the brave risks I took that I became a renowned scientist, all thanks to the great discoveries I made. If we begin to talk about all my accomplishments, a full notebook will not be able to record them all. Thanks to my research, I have developed the cure for many sicknesses and diseases such as ghelira, foploeha, uriamedle, and spunidesles. These illnesses and diseases were deadly. Many people were dying without warning. That was when I stepped in and saved the day after endless days and nights of research and e

Her pov, I will prove everyone wrong. I will show them that I am not crazy, but I am a genius. I will show them that they are simply ignorant. My name is Helena and this is my story. Ever since I was a kid, I have always been lonely, as I didn't have any parents or family members to call my own. How I came to this world, I didn't even know. All I knew was that, one day, I opened my eyes in the middle of nowhere, and I was alive. And at that moment, I wasn't a newborn baby or anything. If I am not mistaken, I looked like a ten-year-old kid back then. Well, I wasn't that sure, since I had no idea about my real age. My very existence caused me to become a scientist. It all began with me using myself for different experiments, because I had always had this deep rooted feeling inside of me that I wasn't a normal human being. Unlike humans who have to eat to survive, me, I could skip eating food or drinking water for a whole week, even a month, and I would look totally fine and heal
