Stormie-

“I rushed over as soon as I heard.” Misty approached the bed, took the cards out of my hand, and placed them on the table while she held my hand. “I was so worried. How are you feeling?”

I had to blink a few times as I wasn’t familiar with this side of her. “When did you start caring?”

“She doesn’t.” Axel coughed. “I am sure she is only here to benefit herself.”

Narrowing my eyes, I glared at Axel. Even if my sister and I weren’t on good terms, I don’t think she has done anything to receive this treatment from him. Misty knew how to act, but she wasn’t that good. Looking at Misty, I wondered if she was genuinely concerned about me.

“That isn’t true. My sister and I might not see eye to eye, but she is my sister. I would never wish harm on her.”

Alpha Axel scoffed but didn’t say anything else as he tapped against the screen on his phone. I wanted to say something but wasn’t sure if I should. The indifference he was showing his wife was a little harsh. I would ask Landon about

    Stormie-Moving from room to room, I was amazed at how spacious everything was. The apartment had a living room, office, kitchen, and dining room, all of which had an open concept.
