Chapter Twenty-Four: Dylan's POV

I watched as Emma left the house that night, but I didn’t bother to follow her. Following her right now, was the least of my worries.

All I needed was some kind of evidence to show that Emily was in fact not guilty.

Ensuring that she had entered her car and she had driven off, I snuck into her bedroom to do a bit of my own investigation.

The room was neatly arranged. I sought to look into her wardrobe, see if there was anything I could find.

Few minutes later, the door burst open and in walked Emma, slightly tipsy. I wondered where she had gone, that she was home so quickly. It wasn’t even up to thirty minutes, but she was back home, and totally wasted.

“Daniel?” She called. I wanted to protest, but then decided against it.

“Emma, what is wrong with you? How did you get this drunk? Where did you go?” I asked as she staggered, causing me to quickly hold her up, so she wouldn't fall.

“You helped me? Nice.” She slurred and I rolled my eyes at her.
