Raffaele’s POV

I sat on the plush ethnic cushion, each stitch of embroidery precise—like a prayer sewn into fabric.

In the center, the Semazenler began to whirl.

Their white robes billowed softly, arms raised, heads tilted in surrender. Discipline marked every movement.

It wasn’t performance—it was pure, godly devotion.

I had never witnessed dervishes before. And as they spun, something in me went still.

It was awe. And something deeper.

Reverent dread.

Not the kind of fear that makes you run—but the kind that makes you kneel.

That soul-deep trembling when you realize that in a heartbeat, everything you love could be taken away from you.

The kind of fear that binds respect and devotion with helplessness and gratitude.

The kind that makes you realize you own nothing—not even your breath.

And I should be thankful for even making it this far.

When the drum ceased and the white robes slowed to stillness, the spell shattered—and I corrected my posture.

And there she was.

Valentina’s POV His weight still lingered beside me, the sheets rumpled, the air sharp with sandalwood cologne and stale whiskey. Then the screen of my phone lit up. A message. From Tullio Cavaliere. “She’s mine now, habibti.” That was all it said. “You let this happen!” I shouted, my voice cracking from the strain. “Your ‘top security’ at the villa? A joke! Maria’s with that monster because you didn’t post enough guards!” Raffaele didn’t even flinch at first. He was lying beside me, half-propped on one elbow, the tablet resting on his stomach—drone footage from the beach house flickering across the screen in green-tinged static. Then he froze. His jaw tightened. And when he finally looked up, his eyes were dark, tired, worn when they met mine. “You think I wanted this?” His voice was low at first and rough. “My men were stretched thin, Valentina. Orichalcum leads. Tariq’s spies. Your travel here in Switzerland—” He stood suddenly, his voice rising. “What do you want m

  • The Tycoon’s Temptress - Red Flower’s Chase   Chapter 84 - Choked Connection

Valentina’s POV Raffaele had taken us to Bürgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne. A luxurious cliffside estate, 500 meters above the lake, with a glass-walled chalet-style wing, panoramic alpine views, spa facilities, and soaring terraces. We even had to ride a funicular to reach it. But after the way we fought—and barely escaping death—I was completely alone. Raffaele had been gone all night, that empty look still burned into my mind. He did exactly what he said he would. Slammed the door, cold and sharp, and left. I sat curled up in cream-colored loungewear, clutching my knees. Trying to hold my shit together. Our room is so luxurious, a modern alpine suite with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a breathtaking panoramic view of Lake Lucerne. The design blends warm wood tones with sleek stone finishes. It features a plush bed with crisp linens, a sitting area by the window, and a glass-walled bathroom with dual sinks and soft ambient lighting. The space feels both cozy an

Maria Medri’s POV I woke up groggy in a dark, windowless room. The air reeked of lemon-scented cleaner—sharp and sterile—barely covering the colder smell of concrete beneath fresh paint. Somewhere, an AC unit buzzed steadily. My head was heavy. My limbs were slow to respond. Mezomtanin was still running its course. I could feel it in every nerve, stalling my movements. Then the scent hit me fully: lemon-scented cleaner. That sharp, unmistakable smell that could only come from one place. Tullio. He loves this scent. I wanted to flip over on the bed and vomit, but my hands were restrained. The wallpaper. The chandelier. The iron-framed bed. The camera in the corner. This wasn’t just any room—it was my room. The one Tullio made for me. It still smelled faintly of rose and amber beneath the sterile layer of disinfectant. The walls were paneled in that deep green-black paint he loved. Moody and controlling, just like him. Then I felt the mattress shift. Tullio w

Maria Medri’s POV I slipped on my blue swimsuit just as the sun rose. It was already hot outside—typical lush morning at the Ricchezza beach house on the Al-Faw Peninsula. The Persian Gulf shimmered under the sun, calm and endless, with that soft breeze that made you forget everything for a second. I missed Valentina. She was off in Switzerland with Raffaele, chasing orichalcum and red flowers and whatever other insanity they’d stumbled into this time. Meanwhile, I was here, trying to keep myself distracted. Lorenzo was stretched out on the stone path, lazy as ever, purring like a giant spoiled cat. I sat down beside him and buried my face in his mane. His warmth, the steady rumble in his chest—it was the closest thing I had to her. It helped. But only a little. “All right, all right, Lorenzo—I’ll have the servants bring you some snacks,” I joked, ruffling his mane. “Lamb or cow?” He let out a low roar, as if actually thinking it over, then huffed like he’d s

  • The Tycoon’s Temptress - Red Flower’s Chase   Chapter 81 - The Network of Vengeance

Tullio Cavallier’s POV The coffee swirls on my tongue, a thick espresso laced with cardamom—just the way I like it. The villa is silent at this hour except for the soft rustle of the Tigris outside my window. I sit alone, staring down at the folder spread open in front of me. Maria. Every page is about her—her routines, her routes, photos taken from a distance. I even had heat maps. A visual tool that shows data intensity using color—warm tones like red, orange, and yellow marked her high-activity areas, while cooler shades showed where she rarely went. I even had a blueprint of the Ricchezza beach villa. It was ridiculously hard to get. But I got it. “Everything for you, my love,” I whispered to the photograph of Maria standing on the beach in her blue bikini. I also had access to her usual walking pace, marked in notes by someone who’s been watching closely. She still walks alone every morning. Same path. Same time. That blind spot behind the r

  • The Tycoon’s Temptress - Red Flower’s Chase   Chapter 80 - Tullio's Obsession

Tullio Cavaliere's POV The Tigris river flows north to south through the heart of Baghdad city, and many luxury buildings, embassies, and older palaces are positioned along its banks. Just like mine. I own a restored Ottoman-style Baghdadi villa, with arched windows and ornate balconies. That kind of haunting elegance that masks the years of wear scraped away from its façade—now polished over with a fresh slab of paint, overlooking the river. Inside, my villa is a surprising blend of Ottoman elegance and Gothic grandeur. It’s beautiful, but never warm since she left. What I really need is Maria Medri. Only she can make this house feel alive again. I’m looking out over the waters, watching over history, corruption, and chaos—but me? I’m above all that. Maria’s room is the only place I’ve never let anyone else arrange. The floors are dark wood, and the walls are full-height raised paneling—you could call it Georgian or Neoclassical, but here it’s reinterpreted with a Goth
