CHAPTER 3

I woke up the next morning on a hard surface,this is not my bed,when did my bed become so hard?. I opened my eyes and I remembered where I was. Shit,I need to leave before he wakes up. What's the time?,where's my cloth?,I kept asking my self these question. I saw my dress somewhere close to the door. I slipped the dress on,took my heels and handbag and started tiptoeing so he would not wake up,I managed to get out of the room. Taking the first flight of stairs I saw,i did not care where it led to. The first floor screamed "WEALTH",with really high ceilings,spacious living room and dining room which was decorated.

Damn! Ivan sure have a great taste.

I took time to admire the house because yesterday night I could not.  This man must have a lot of money,I wonder what he does for a living. I haven't seen any other person in this house,doesn't he have helpers?. Or what if he's a kidnapper or he's in the mafia.

"Oh..my..God". Did I just sleep with a criminal. Maybe am just being paranoid. I need to get out of here as soon as possible. I dashed out of the house. I hailed a cab to my apartment. I called my best friends to be sure if they were alright. I called Jesse first and she picked after three rings.

"Hello". "Are you alright?". "Are you at home?". I asked her all these questions at once

Calm your titties Adele. She used the nick name she calls me. "I'm okay" and no am not at home. Infact I won't be coming home today. "I still have things I need to sort  over here". She said giggling 

"So tell me how was your night,how was the sex,did you enjoy it?".she asked 

"I can't discuss that right now,I'll explain everything to you once we see ".

"Okay,fine". Have a nice day and don't forget to call Samantha she must be worried because she hasn't heard from you since yesterday.

"I will",Bye.

I called Samantha and she picked almost immediately. "Where we're you,I was worried because Jesse said you went home with one boy and that's unlike you".

"Yes,I did,I'll tell you all about it when we meet,right now am on my way home,I'll visit mom and dad today and spend sometime with them,I'll be back in the evening since tomorrow is work".

"Sure,let's have breakfast on Monday morning before we go to work,the three of us and don't be late".

"I won't,I promise". Bye 

"Ma'am,we are here". The cabbie said.

"Here's your money".

I walked to my apartment and unlocked the door,I pulled my dress down and went to take a nice hot shower in my tub with scented petals,I took my time in scrubbing my body,I stayed an hour having my shower before I decided to make breakfast.

I walked to the kitchen to make pancakes with chocolate syrup,when it was ready I devoured the food like an animal. After my breakfast,I decided to read a novel before I went to sleep.

When I woke up it was past 2o'clock in the afternoon,I prepared to visit my parents. After dressing,I took my things and locked the door. I arrived at my parents house after 3. I knocked on the door and my mum opened the door.

"Oh,my darling,your welcome,how are you?".

"I'm fine mum,how is everyone?".

"They are all fine,your father is inside".

"Let me say hi to him". 

"Good afternoon daddy,how is your health?".

"I am fine my daughter,how is work?,i hope they are not stressing you too much".

"No daddy,work is great and they are not stressing me".

"Where is Michael?,i did not see him when i came here".

"He said something about visiting his friend to do assignments,he might probably come back before you go".

"Adellliaaa....". My mum screamed 

"Yess".

"Come and help me prepare dinner".

"I'm coming mum,I'll be right there".

My mum was preparing lasgna,an italian dish,so i helped her arrange things,she started asking me questions

"How is  work?". 

"Work is just there ,nothing new about it".

"What about Romano?",she was asking me about my ex-boyfriend.

"We broke up".

"Why".

Mum,he was cheating on me for four months,four freaking months and i did not know. I feel so stupid,i saw the signs but i just chose to ignore it.

"It's okay,my daughter,it's his loss. If he let go of such a beautiful,independent,smart woman like you,then he is an idiot"(é un idiòta).

Set the dining the table,dinner is almost ready". I was arranging the plates when my brother came in.

"Hey sis,when did you arrive?".

"I have been here for almost four hours,where did you go?"

"I went to do some assignments with my friend. How is work?".

Work is good. Let me call daddy to come and have dinner,I'll soon be on my way home.

"Daddy,dinner is readyy".

We sat on the table and ate the food as one happy family. When we were through,i helped my mum clean the dishes. We all gisted for a while,i told them i was leaving because i had to wake up early for work tomorrow.

"Bye,mum,dad and Mikey,I'll visit some other time. Dad make sure you go for your tests and take your medicine,mum take care of yourself and daddy,I'll send some money when am paid". I love you guys.

"We love you too". they all said

"Make sure you call me whenever there is a problem".

I got to my apartment by 8:15,i went straight to the bathroom and had my shower,i set my alarm,said my prayers and went to sleep.
