“Perrin, over here!”
He was at least a half a mile away, but he heard me. I had just caught the flowery scent of roses. Kira. She had to be nearby.
Perrin was there before I had a chance to pick up on the direction it was coming from.
He pointed without words.
We ran down a grassy knoll into a patch filled with wildflowers. For a beautiful day, the park was remarkably empty.
“She has to be nearby. Don’t worry.” But I knew my words didn’t have any effect.
“Go that way. We can’t take any chances.”
We separated again.

Jasmine I drop my bag onto a break room chair, heading for the hot water dispenser. Tea. Tea sounded like absolute heaven. I throw a bag of Earl Gray into an empty styrofoam cup and pump hot water into the dispenser. The smell of my brew shot swiftly through the room. I happily inhaled and sipped, despite the searing heat spilling down my throat. It had been a long 24 hours, but I was thrilled with what I had been able to accomplish. I had checked in with Naineeve periodically throughout the evening for some healer-to-healer advice, wanting to impress Danielle and Irene, the Ascended who had been monitoring us yellows all evening.
