Trinity

After the man left, I didn’t know what to say, but I was also very curious. What did he mean by all that? More than that, why did I get the sense that there was more to his story than just him mourning the loss of his wife?

I felt compelled to see him again, to figure him out, but I wasn’t sure if that was a good idea. Whatever his real problems were, they were way beyond my training at this point. I looked down at the notes and frowned, realizing that his name wasn’t on the page.

Something tingled at the back of my mind as if I knew what should be there but couldn’t quite say what it was.

Days passed, and it seemed that the police came by to speak to me nearly every day. There were different officers every day, but they all asked most of the same questions.
