Chapter 28 : Truth of the matter
Rosa writhed in pain on the damn sheets. Her body sizzled with fever. Sweating dripping from her neck and her nightmares were making her anxiety worse. She turns in her bed and the sound of her panting echoes in the room. She can feel darkness sucked her down and strong hands. Hot, rotting devilish hand sucked her down and she felt nothing but numbness across her entire body.
Armand! Don’t leave me!
Each time she called out to Armand, her voice echoed back. Unanswered. It’s like he had ceased to exist.
A choked cry caught in her throat.
Where are you, Armand? Please… don’t leave me
Her heart shuddered to a halt with grim realization. The only rational reason why Armand didn’t answer him is that... he was dead.
