Chapter 27 : Reality

Growling 

Blood, all of it splattered on the ground and not only from the Makkari. It also came from the man in black.

Rosa could care less. Her eyes was fixed dead on the man lying beside her. Shock took over her system. Her eyes wide, her mouth open and her body froze, looking down at Armand on the ground. He was just lying there with arrows on his back. 

What started with one ended up becoming almost a dozen of them buried on his back. Blood puddles beneath him and his eyes was closed. She got down to her knees just so she could held him but her tears was betraying her thoughts.

Rosa wanted to believe that Armand was alive and going to wake up anytime soon but it didn’t seem possible. Not with that amount of damage on his body. No mortals could survive from that and even if Armand could, he must be in so much pain. 

She sat on the floor and scoop Armand’s head to lie on her lap.
