Groaning, I squinted my eyes and scrunched my nose as I twisted and turned on the bed. I raised my hand and moved it over the cold empty space beside me on the bed, making my eyes snap open instantly.

No Daniel.

My heart started to race in my chest frantically as I got off the bed and started searching for the familiar pine scent.

Bathroom. Not there.
