03: Intricate Mix Of Lewd And Morbid Desires

It was a renowned clubhouse in town. Collen could already feel the thrill of being in a place she had long stepped foot in. She had been living a quiet, thoughtful life since she achieved her dream of being a fashion stylist who worked behind the scene for big fashion companies and studios.

"This god-damn heels keeps threatening to have my ass kiss the floor." Ayra muttered, pausing to adjust her dress that had no problem.

"Mike is watching you." Collen retorted, holding back the grin that wanted to break out of her face.

She heard Ayra sharply suck in her breathe as the latter quickly looked up to find out that they were no one in the dimly lit hallway that led to the interlinked VIP rooms where the engagement party was taking place in.

"Fuck you, Col. You're despicable." Ayra glared at her, walking away and leaving her behind.

"I was only kidding you. Wait up." Collen said, laughing loudly as she increased her pace to meet up with her elder sister who had already disappeared through the door.

Collen shrugged and slowed down her pace as she walked into the bright room which was a contrast to the dimly lit hallway. There was a nice love song playing softly in the background which was as well contrasting to the loud pop song that had been blaring through the speakers when they had walked through the clubbing arena. She made a mental note to return there later for a shot of Blood Mary and Vodka which she knew would never be served here.

Collen stood near the door for a few seconds quickly taking into observation the mood of the engagement party. It was like cocktail hours. Gourmet ice cream sandwiches, stuffed mushrooms and beef biscuits sliders with crispy fried onions were passed around. And of course, a range of cocktails for people to choose from.

"Mind taking a glass of-"

She took a glass of cocktail without waiting for the man carrying the tray filled with diverse glasses of cocktails to finish his statement. Without hesitation, she took a gulp and narrowed her eyes in distate. This was no ordinary cocktail. It tasted like tears. And the thought of it made her become weirdly satisfied.

She walked towards the front where she would have a better view of what ever that was going to happen tonight. She also wanted to surprise someone who would so much hate to sight her on such a blissful day.

Amira's mother was a saying whole load of sweet things about her daughter while Amira sat close to her fiancée with her head resting on his shoulder. Their hands were intertwined and on her left hand was a light, delicate engagement ring with jewels placed into the band itself.

Collen scoffed as she tore her eyes off Amira's hand. She had chosen the ring herself unknown to the bitch. When Devon had confided in her as regards how difficult it was getting a ring for Amira, she had surprised him by volunteering to use her skilled eyes and pick something simple unique and suiting for her.

When she spotted that ring she knew right away that it meant for Amira. It was understated and minimalist in a classy way just like Amira Brown who was a hideous, no value bitch that packaged herself to look pretty, warm hearted and priceless.

Just then Collen's eyes met with Devon's, it was as though time stood still. They conveyed a lot to themselves with those few moments of gazing into each other's eye. Even with the distance between them.

"Babe, what are you thinking of? What are you staring at like that?" Amira asked with a loud voice, all those sitted in front must have heard those words of hers.

Amira darted her eyes around and nearly shrieked upon sighting Collen. If lasers could be shot out from one's eyes, she'd be dead within the splits of seconds their eyes met.

She chuckled darkly, flipping her hair as she watched the horrific look on Amira's face. Strangely, she kept having the maddening urge to lay hold on her neck and have her sent to abyss. The more she looked at the short, black haired bitch, the more she wished to rewind the hands of time to five years ago in a similar place like this when Amira had dealt so wickedly with her. She would never forget that day.

Not because of the caricature that was being made of her that faithful day or the thugs that were sent to throw her out of the club, shredding her clothes in the process. It was his death that made her life miserable. It caused her endless nights of nightmares and regretful tears that fueled her dire need to execute her sweet revenge.

Collen felt herself moving forward, her eyes still on Amira. She wasn't thinking at that moment. She knew that. All she wanted to do was inflict half the pain she felt right now to Amira who looked like she'd leap away from her seat anytime soon.

"Col, you need to meet Laura- that kid we thought creepy who saved you from drowning at the pool back then in that jock's house." Collen felt a hand grab her firmly on the wrist, spinning around that she nearly hit the person beside her.

"I don't remember any damn Laura for fucks sake." Collen sighed, glaring at her elder sister who was literally dragging her to meet someone she had no idea of.

"Well, you'll surely recognize her when you see her. I'm doing this for you. You always wanted to thank her for the favor but never saw her again." Ayra stated.

"Wait," Collen muttered, forcing them to a halt which made Ayra turn with a sigh. "That kid from Grade 10 with so many acnes that rescued me from drowning at Mark's house party?" She asked with widened eyes.

"Exactly. I told you that you'll love to meet her, didn't I?" Ayra retorted with a wide smile.

Collen quickly flinged her hand away as though it was hot lead as she scrunched her face in disgust and took a step backward. "I doubt she asked to meet me. If she did, then you should warn her to be careful of what she wish for. It would be really unfortunate if I lay eyes on that pathetic imp."

Ayra stared at her in mortification. "Are you really that ungrateful?"

Collen rolled her eyes. "I'd advise you to just stick beside Amira and quit putting yourself in things you have no idea of." She warned and turned to leave.

Ayra knew almost nothing of her inner pains and struggles. Just like she had no idea why she hated her best friend to death, she also had no idea that the Laura girl was paid to push into the deep side of the pool so she'd drown and die. When she couldn't succeed and people had began looking their way, Laura helped her out, pretending to have saved her from drowning.

Later that night, she had discovered that Laura accepted to do that just so she could date Mark for three weeks. She had gone in search of the deceitful bitch only to find out that she had gone home already. And she never showed up in school again.

Collen slammed the door shut and left. She felt sorry for the way she talked to Ayra but if she stayed back there, two things were going to happen. Either she strangled Amira to death or she'd create a scene out of whatever Laura had to tell her.

She was about walking into the bar when she the loud ringtone of her phone filled the air. It was Devon calling so she paused and took the call.

"Hey," She muttered, bringing the phone to her ear.

"Where are you right now?" His deep sultry baritone voice somehow brought comfort to her.

"Heading to the bar. I want to get high and yeah... Happy engagement to you, Love. You looked so enticing and gorgeous." She stated with a lopsided smile.

If he was right there with her, he would have caressed her cheeks and called her naughty.

She thought she heard a sound but decided to keep shut. She was going to tell him to enjoy his day while it lasted. He wasn't going to stop her from drinking till she probabbly pass out.

"Collen"

She heard her name from behind which caused her heart to skip as she turned, the phone still glued to her ear. She smirked once she saw it was Devon as she ended the call and walked towards him.

He wrapped his hand around her and led her through the dimly lit hallway to a room she never knew existed there. It seemed like it was a VIP room that had been reserved. Smiling smugly she asked him if had this all planned out from the start.

"Not really. I wasn't sure you'd come but I had a feeling that you would, so I reserved the room beforehand." Devon muttered, moving closer to her and holding her hands.

"I don't think Amira would appreciate the fact that you're nowhere beside her. Shouldn't you spend some more time with her? We'll meet tomorrow." Collen stated, running her hand on his stubble.

"Fuck her. Fuck the engagement party, you know I'd rather spend time with you. I was so excited to see you earlier on. And that's still the case." Devon stated, holding her jaw and staring into her eyes.

She leaned in and kissed him. "Prove it."

Devon quickly tossed his tuxedo carelessly on the floor and pulled at his belt. She loved this impatient side of him. He held her face gently, kissing her senseless as he carried her up causing her to wrap her legs around his waist.

As he thrusted into her, she moaned while kissing his neck. She began seeing flashes of that night from five years ago. And this happened every damn she gets real intimate with Devon. As though he was tied to Amira, she kept being reminded of what his fiancée did to her only at that moment of their intimacy.

Of course, he had no idea that she knew Amira asides the fact that she was her sister's best friend. But she knew much more than that down to the fact that she was a murderer.

Collen used to think heartless people were twisted and never to be trusted. But that wasn't true. As a matter of fact, her vengeful being had left her utterly twisted, divinely un-sane with her heart constantly trodden under her feet.

She stared at the figure standing before the other door Devon had no idea about. She knew he had reserved here for them but had faked being surprised. Just like she knew about his engagement, even before he told her about it at the secret house.

"Please fuck me harder." She cried out in ecstacy as he kept thrusting into her while she she stared at the figure at the door with a dark chuckle.

Collen had no idea why she wasn't scared that they was being watched. Maybe it was because she expected the person to be right there and loved the effect of what she was doing. Or Maybe it was because of the imminent storm that she could see coming.

"Col," Devon called out in a low tone.

She whispered in response as she reached her climax the third time, not wanting it to end.

"What's going on between you and Amira? I-Is there something you think I should know?" He asked calmly.

Collen cocked her brows, trying to understand what brought about the question. Then it occurred of what happened before Ayra dragged her to meet her so called savior- Laura who should be lucky she didn't set her eyes on her.

"You already know she lacks manners and loves bullying people lower than her. There's no personal issue I have with her. She's just best friends with Ayra." She reminded him.

Devon ran his hand over his hair still carrying her comfortably with his other hand. "Yeah, I know. I was just worried."

"Why?" Collen asked. "Did she tell you anything?"

"Nothing asides the fact that she doesn't like your guts."

"She should say that to my face, then. What do you think?" She asked, jumping down from his body as she briefly turned and glanced towards the hidden partly opened door that was covered with dark but transparent curtains.

That was a damn mistake that almost got her caught. Devon had naturally turned towards there but she gently pushed his head back to face her and she placed a light kiss on his lips.

"Thanks for tonight. We shouldn't meet again for the next two weeks since you just got engaged to avoid suspicion." Collen said, adjusting her gown.

"Would I function properly if I don't see you till then? Can't we meet next week, Amira would never know." Devon asked.

He had gotten way too obsessed with her to even reason properly. But she loved that.

"Alright then. We should leave now before everyone starts looking for the man of the day." Collen smiled smugly as she stared around for her phone.

She had tossed it on the sofa. There was still time to return back to the engagement party when she checked the phone. But Collen's eyes narrowed when she saw that she had six missed calls from Ayra.

Her phone had been in silence. She had deliberately kept her phone in the silent mode even before they even got to the clubhouse.

Trying to convince herself that nothing odd could have happened, she glanced back once more. But this time around, there was someone else beside that figure.
