Right, I forgot to mention that, ironically, the mark of the crescent moon on my chest is apparently invisible to everyone. When Maya brought the dress in I immediately took notice that the dress would expose my mark so it was going to be a problem. Then I realized that Asher was unable to see it so it might be the same case with Maya.

Taking my shirt off, I threw it on the bed and glanced at Maya but she was too busy beaming like a baby as she gazed admiringly at the white gown she had bought for me.

Noticing that I was looking at her she cleared her throat and looked at me. “Sorry, I can only imagine how beautiful you’re going to look in this,”

She was staring right at me but still had not noticed the mark yet. “Well, you are going to see me right now,” I stated.

“Oh no” she shook her head, “you’re going to put it on and tell me if it fits you right otherwise I’ll have it altered to your size,” she smiled.

Still her eyes didn’t seem to notice.
