Following Bella's ideas was not a good thing.

Seeing Alice's face confirmed my thoughts; she looked like a frightened deer about to run away.

It was obvious that Alice was scared, but I was doing my best not to make her uncomfortable. The only good thing about all that was that Bella had brought her out of her shell and made her interact with more people.
