There I was, trying, once again, to approach her. Adeline was impossible! I also knew it wouldn't be easy, I knew she was going to disown me, and with good reason. I made a mistake, I didn't know how to be receptive when she needed me, but I was here now. She needed to understand that I wasn't going to abandon her, ever again.

“Adeline, I will never leave life again. You and me; we are forever,” he said. She ignored me and continued to turn her back on me. It broke me.
