Chapter 1: Barren wife

“ The test result said that you can’t carry your own child and that simply means that you are barren” the doctor said and at that moment Claire could not believe her ears, she was seated on the chair facing the doctor staring at the doctor because she was surprised by what the doctor said and she has tell the doctor to check the results well again.

“ Doctor! This can’t be true. Maybe it’s a mistake” she says and her heart was already beating fast.

“ This is true ma’am, you can’t have a child of your own” the doctor repeat again and Claire still could not believe her ears.

“ This can’t be true” she says in a lower voice and her eyes was already filled with tears and don’t know what to do and she quickly clean up her tears and ask the doctor for a solution.

“ What’s the solution doctor?” She ask.

“ There are solutions. You can pick one of the options” the doctor says.

“ What are the options?” She ask.

“ You can go for a IVF or a surrogate” the doctor says and she was happy at first but the she later remembered that she and Henry has been married for the past five years and his mother was already suspecting such and if they whole family discovered that she is barren then she will lose her husband and her marriage of five years will go in vain and she doesn’t want that to happen and she promis never to tell her husband.

“ Can I ask you for a favor doctor?” She ask and the doctor nods his head.

“ Yes sure, you can” the doctor says.

“ Can this be between us? I mean I want you to keep it a secret for me because I do not want my husband to find out about it” she says and the doctor stare at her in surprise.

“ Why don’t you want your husband to know about this?” The doctor ask.

“ I can’t explain but please do this for me and I promise I will pay you for this” she says and the doctor nods.

“ Anything for the patient. Its the medical rules, since you do not want anyone to know about it then it’s sealed and it remains here and just the two of us except you change your mind” the doctor says and Claire smiled and she stood holding her handbag.

“ Thank you doctor” she says and she stood up from the chair and she walks out from the doctors office and she walks straight out to of the hospital and her driver opens the back seat door for her and she enters the car and the driver drove off and she couldn’t help but  shed tears remembering what the doctor said to her that she can’t carry her own child and she think of what to do and few minutes later, Henry called on her cellphone and it’s rings in her handbag and she brings out her cellphone from her handbags and she stare at the caller’s ID and it’s Henry calling and she quickly  wipe off her tears and she picked up the call.

“ Hey babe!” She says and Henry smiled hearing her voice.

“ Sweetheart! I was thinking about you and I was expecting you to call me” he says and Claire smiles.

“ I was also thinking about you honey, I have missed you and I can’t wait to have you back tonight” She says.

“ Really! How much have you miss me?” He ask.

“ A lot baby! Just come back home, can’t wait to have you in bed tonight” she says and they both laugh.

“ Tell me how did the test result went? You told me that you were going to the hospital today right” Henry says and Clair heart start to beat fast and she remembered what the doctor told her but she can’t tell her husband because she can’t afford to lose him so she will have to lie to him and she was already lost in thought while on on call with Henry and Henry was wondering why she isn’t saying anything.

“ Baby! Are you there?” He ask and Claire quickly remembered she was on call.

“ Yes honey! Ehmm… the test results said that I am fine and you are also fine and the doctor advise that I should have much rest as usual that helps, he said we shouldn’t worry that we will have our child soon” she says and sue felt guilty lying to her husband.

“ I Hope so. I just hope it happens soon” he says and Claire thought how to dived their discussion.

“ Baby! Tell me how did the meeting with the clients in Los Angelis went?” She ask.

“ It went well baby and I can’t wait to come back home, I only spend three days here and it’s looks like I have spend a whole year without seeing you” he says and Claire smiled.

“ I can’t wait to have you back home in California, I will tell Chantel to prépa your favorite” she says.

“ Thank you love. You are the best” he says.

“ You are also the best baby” she says.

“ Are you home or at the office?” He ask.

“ I am on my way home from the hospital, i don’t think I would be able to to go the office today” she says.

“ Alright baby! I love you” he says.

“ Love you to baby” she says.

“ Will take to you later” he says and he ends the call and Claire gets worried because she hasn’t think of a solution.

Some minutes later the driver drove in to the Williams compound and she gets down from the car and she entered the house thinking and worried and Chantel the maid walks downstairs and she notice that Claire isn’t looking and she looks worried.

“ Welcome back home ma’am” Chantel says and Claire stare at her.

“ Thank you Chantel. My husband will be coming back home today and I want you to prepare his favorite” Claire says.

“ Sure ma’am. But ma’am, are you fine?” Chantel ask and Claire stare at her and she wonders why she ask.

“ Yes, I am fine. Why did you ask?” Claire ask.

“ You look worried” Chantel says.

“ I am fine Chantel, just go and prepare what I ask you do and also bring me juice to my room” Claire says and Chantel left and Claire walks upstairs to  room and she turned up the tv and she was seeing movie where by the wife of the billionaire is barren and the wife of the billionaire ask her sister to help her with child by sleeping with her husband but her husband wouldn’t know because he will be drugged and when she is pregnant, she will also have to pretend that she pregnant at that time and when her sister gives birth she will pay her off and fly her out of the country and she make her signed a contract to never come back for the children and at that time Claire have an idea but she can’t ask her sister to do because her sister has always have her eyes on Henry and she think of of who to use because she does not want her family or Henry’s family to know about it and Chantels knocks on the door.

“Come in” she says and Chantel walks in holding the juice in her hand and Claire stare at her that she will be  perfect for what she wants because she still young and have a long way to go and she will never think of wanting a child and she is novice and she is also an orphan.
