Chapter 11

Mehak's pov 

I walked inside my home and found Manik Studying. 

mera bhai Sara din bas padai karta hai ache result zaroor milenge. (My brother studies all the day...he will get good results)

"Di you come back? Won't you go to work?" he asked me 

"no I won't go back. I left the job." I told him with a serious expression 

Let's play a little before I flash the news. 

"kya hua di? Ap thik to ho? Kisine kuch bola ya kiya kya?" 

(What happened Di? Are you ok?Did Someone say something to you?)

he asked going in his protective mode 

He is maybe only 15 but he is really protective of me and Ma. 

"nahi Kisi Ne kuch nahi kiya." (No...nobody said anything)I said and go to my room 

"then why did you leave the job? Wait, are you feeling sick because of overworking?" he asked me concerned 

How do I lie to him? When he is so tense?

"I got a lead role in a movie." I blurted out and he look at me his mouth hung open 

"are you serious di?" he asked me 

"Yes 100 percent, you know that I won't lie to you on this topic." I said and he hugged me 

"Congratulations, your dream will finally be fulfilled. My di will become a film star…" He said or I say screamed 

"calm down boy Don't scream I don't want to be deaf so soon." I said with a wink and he laughed 

"let ma come , we will give her a surprise. Today you give me good news. I will bring you chocolate." He said and go outside to buy chocolate 

He came with a 5 rupees dairy milk. 

"Take it I know it's small but once I earn it I will give you big ones." He said smiling and I kissed his forehead 

I took a piece and fed him and he did the same. 

After it I changed my clothes and started cooking. 

Today I will cook Veg pulao with Dum aloo.

I had already informed Jatin and Raj about my achievement and they both are really happy. Tomorrow I will go to meet them.. 

"Mehak you didn't go to work?" Ma asked looking at me 

"no ma I left my work. I won't go back and you will also not work from now on." I told her while peeling the potatoes 

"and if we won't work then how will we live? We didn't win some lottery now did we?" she asked me 

I turned towards her and smiled. 

"my dream is going to be fulfilled ma. I got a chance to work in the film with Kiaan Mehrotra. He replaced pihu mam with me." I told her and she give me the same reaction as manik 

"oh my god Mehak are you serious? You got a chance to work with Kiaan mehrotra?" she asked me 

She knows my love for kiaan sir very much. I'm a die heart fan of him. 

"Yes ma I'm serious. He himself took my audition and chose me. Soon we will start shooting. Ma our bad days will be gone soon. Our hard work will give us fruit now." I told her 

"your belief won beta (child) you kept believe in yourself that you can do it and you did it. I'm so happy." Ma said 

"today we will have Shrikhand and kaju barfi for dessert." Ma said and I smiled like a kid. 

These both are my favourite sweets. 

I started to concentrate on my work while ma went outside to bring the sweets. 

I made the food and saw again that manu is studying. 

" manu see where Is ma she hasn't came back yet" I told him and he nodded 

"I'm here, no need to go outside." Ma said coming inside with Sweets in her hand 

"food is ready, let's eat together." I told them 

"sure," they both replied and we sat down on floor Indian style 

We are together and wash the utensils. 

We all go to bed with a smile on our face. 

I laid down on my small bed but couldn't sleep. 

Papa's face is coming in front of my eyes. He wanted to see me becoming an actress. He wanted to fulfil his dream via me. 

Getting up from the bed I took the photo frame in my hand which was hung on the sidewall of my bed. It's our family photo that was clicked when Manu was born. I was in Papa's arms and Ma was holding him. 

"Papa did you see? I got a chance papa with my own capability. I didn't take any shortcuts or anything. I will fulfill your wish papa. I will make you proud of me. I will work hard and sincerely. I will make sure that I get more work. What you didn't get I will achieve. I will make ma and manu happy. He will become what he wants to by studying hard. He won't be working so hard like this. "I told him and hugged the photo frame tightly 

I slept with the photo frame near my heart. 

Next morning I go to meet Jatin And Raj. 

They both were really happy for me. And when bring fare well gifts for me. 

" what was the need to bring this all? "I asked looking at the expensive wrist watch and saree 

" you're our friend and you're leaving the job and fulfilling your dreams. It's a new start in your life so these gifts are a token of Good luck. "Jatin said holding my hands 

" And don't you dare to forget us after becoming a famous woman. And we need your first autograph as well." Raj said took jatin's hand from mine to his making me roll my eyes 

" I won't forget you ever. You supported me when I was nothing then how can I forget everything when I achieved the chance. This break is the opening of my locked fate. Thank you so much for being there for me." I told them 

"now give me a hug," I says and we three Stand up and did a group hug 

After talking we roam around a little. Ate street foods and enjoyed until they have to join their shift and I also have to go to take my payment. 

We three went together and I took my payment from the head who also congratulated me. 

After bidding them bye I go back to my house..

Life is very unpredictable no one knows what happened next neither did I…
