Cut them

Trying to calm herself, Deborah walked down the sterile hospital corridor, her steps heavy with anxiety. She clutched her phone tightly in her hand, her fingers trembling as she dialed the number for her private banker.

"Hello, this is Deborah. I need to transfer a substantial amount of money from my account immediately but my card is not working," she demanded, her voice laced with a bit of rage. "I figure you guys need confirmation, so I am calling."

There was a brief pause on the other end of the line, and Deborah's heart pounded in her chest. She could hear the clicking of computer keys, and then the voice of the bank representative broke through the silence.

"I'm sorry, Miss Deborah. It's not because of a confirmation problem. But your account has been frozen. We cannot process any withdrawals at this time," the voice informed her coldly.
