Searching

Xander and Xavier have been searching for their mate for several hours, they were starting to get worried. Nahla had been trying to calm Jack and Trent down, their lycan and wolf were beyond themselves. When they began destroying everything in sight Nahla used her psychokinesis and held them in place, she called her father Glan who siphoned their energy with his energy absorption gift. Ava conjured a sleeping spell and put them to sleep, their animal forms were extremely volatile and unpredictable right now.

“I’m sorry I left, but I have important information for us to find our daughter. We’ll be there in a minute. Call the search teams back immediately”, Selene mind linked her mates and sister.

Xander and Xavier called the search teams back and returned to the office with their high ranking members. Mariana left the hospital against the doctors wishes, she needed to help find her daughter in law. She knew that her son must be losing his mind and she wanted to see her daughter Aria. Sienna followed Mariana, they walked into the office just as everyone was showing up. Lee went to his mate, she was holding their newborn daughter, he went and nuzzled them.

Selene appeared in the office, Adrian and Lunan in tow, with their top thirty warriors. A portal appeared and Alatar appeared with his top forty witches and wizards. A loud roar outside caught everyones attention, a huge dragon with twenty warriors on its back appeared. The dragon landed on the balcony, Alpha Stanford from Highland Pack just arrived.

Selene led everyone who arrived to the conference room. Once everyone was settled two portals appeared, two of the search teams have returned. The other two groups were teleported into the huge conference room by Lennox and Ares.

“Now that everyone is here, let’s get down to business. Time is of the essence and we cannot afford to lose anymore of it, Alpha Princess Loralei must be rescued”, Selene spoke loud and clear.

Selene had commanded Alpha Stanford to come to Silver Moon with his top twenty warriors with no explanation. Alpha Stanford and his warriors began to growl, they’re now aware that the princess has been kidnapped, and they want blood.

Selene gave a quick rundown of what had happened several hours prior with the vampire attack and Loralei getting kidnapped. She went on to explain what she now knows who Lord Marcelo is. She looked towards her mate Xavier, she knew he had spoken to the council. Xavier stepped forward, he began to explain what the council had told him.

“I spoke with the council, everything your Luna Queen explained of the vampire lord was told to me as well. I was also told that my father, Alpha King Xavian killed his son, Lord Misha nearly two centuries ago. The reason this is not public knowledge is because my mother, the Luna Queen Breanna made it so”, Xavier quickly explained, making sure everyone was paying attention.

“My mother was a powerful lycan, she was promised to Misha by her pack. Her marriage to the vampire lord was to ensure peace and protection amongst the coven and her pack. When my father went to Europe for an important meeting, it was then that he found his mate, our mother Breanna. Our mother ran away with father which led the vampires to search for her. When mother refused to go back and father refused to reject his mate, Misha attacked. This led to his death and now Lord Marcelo has come back to avenge his son, by kidnapping our daughter. He plans on using her to breed a new generation of powerful hybrids”, Xavier finished.

Everyone in the room began to snarl and growl, they’d kill as many as it took to get their princess back. Xavier raised his hand to quiet everyone down.

“The council has already sent out the Supernatural Mercenary team. The team is being led by Mila Stanford, Alpha Axel’s daughter. Her team of forty highly trained mercenaries should be arriving to their destination within the hour. We’ll be joining them in a few hours”, Xavier finished.

For the next few hours the Alpha Kings and Luna Queens began strategizing on the plan of attack. It was decided that there will be four teams, they needed to make sure that the North, South, East, and West were covered. Hundreds of miles and rough terrain were needing to be searched.

Four teams, four different locations, all working there way in over the course of three days. Axel will be in contact with his daughter so that the mercenaries can lead the attack. There are many passages and hidden tunnels, so the search has to be thorough. Xander, Xavier, Alpha Axel, and the twins Adonis and Ares will be leading the teams.

Each team will consist of one hundred supernatural beings, from lycan’s and wolves, to witches, wizards, and hybrids. It was time for them to get their Princess back and anyone who gets in the way, will pay with their lives.

Everyone left to gather supplies, meeting on the training field once they were done. Adonis and Ava began opening the four portals that were needed for the teams. Adonis has the gift of portal creation.

“Let’s bring our Princess home!”, roared Xander and Xavier. The four teams went there separate ways with one thing in mind, getting Loralei to safety.

Loralei POV

Thank goodness there was a small shower in this prison I was being kept in. I scrubbed my entire body until it hurt. No matter how hard I tried to wash away the disgust I felt, I still felt his hands on me. I could still feel his breath on my neck and his hands on my body. I wanted to crawl out of my skin, I wanted to curl up and die.

“I’m so sorry Lora, I tried to help but I’m to weak, I need to save my energy for them”, Lyla whimpered in my head.

I knew she was weak, I could feel it, “I know Lyla, we’ll get through this together”, I told her.

I knew that my parents and mates were never going to give up on looking for me. I had to believe that I would see them again. I walked over to the bed and laid down.

I was physically and mentally exhausted, I needed to rest and get my energy back. I need to get out of here, even if I die trying.

“I will help you through this, I promise. We just need rest”,  Lyla tried comforting her human.

She was trying her best to regain their energy and strength, but there was just too much wolfsbane and something else she couldn't place in their system. There was nothing she could do and she felt helpless. She was supposed to protect Loralei and she failed, but she couldn't lose them.

I was too tired to keep my eyes open, I fell asleep the minute I closed my eyes. I prayed that this was all a nightmare and when I woke up I would be back home. In the arms of my mates where I was safe.

Day 1 of search

The four teams had arrived in Romania, it was early morning since they’re now halfway across the country. The teams were able to cover a few hundred miles over the course of six hours, before stopping for a quick break and to follow up with the other teams.

Xander’s team was heading inward from the east, other than a few caves, that they searched, there was no sign of their daughter. They’re all taking a quick break.

Xavier’s team was heading in from the north side, he said that everything was going fine.

Adonis and Ares were leading their team from the south, everything was going according to plan. Jack was them and was more focused than ever.

Alpha Axel was leading the west team, everything was going well, they did find a tunnel but it seemed that it had been collapsed for years now. Trent was with Alpha Axel’s team, Magnus was pissed and could feel Lyla’s stress and worry.

Glan had given Jack and Trent their energy back, but if they became a problem they’d be sent right back to Silver Moon. Selene is with Adonis and Ares’ team, Nahla is with Xander’s team, Glan is with Alpha Axel, and Cora was with Xavier. The witches and warlocks that had come were paired with a wolf or lycan, they had to ride on their backs. And the merfolk were able to keep up, they had the speed and stamina.

After resting for about an hour, they continued on their mission. The goal was to run for ten hours before stopping for the night.

Loralei POV

I was woken up when I heard the door open, I quickly sat up, ready to fight. A lady walked in with a tray of food. She looked at me sympathetically “Please eat princess”, she had a nice voice.

I liked her instantly, she looked over her shoulder and whispered “I made the food myself, it’s safe to eat”, she smiled at me and walked out. I heard the door lock, the smell of the food had my stomach growling.

I grabbed the tray and sat on the bed, I ate all the food that was brought to me. Eggs, bacon, a blueberry muffin, and some fresh fruit. I needed to eat to regain my energy, I drank the cup of water in one go.

“Lyla?”, I called out to my lycan.

“I’m here Lora, most of the wolfsbane is out of our system. But something is stopping you from using your gifts, I’m not sure what though”, she explained.

I thought for several minutes, “That monster”, I said to myself.

“Lyla, I know why I can’t use my gifts. When that bastard fed off me, he injected some of his venom into us. I remember learning in school how some high ranking vampires have the ability to keep their “prey”, weak. Their venom is toxic to humans, but for supernaturals it keeps us from using our gifts.

“Lora I have to tell you”-, the door to my room opened up.

“How are you feeling pet?”, Marcelo walked in smiling.

I refused to give him any satisfaction, “I feel great, I slept like a baby”, I smirked as I watched the smile slip off his face.

“Is that so?”, he arched his eyebrow.

I just looked at him, he grabbed the empty food tray and walked out the room.

“That’s what I thought you smug bastard”, I thought to myself.

I laid in the bed and a thought occurred to me, I remember my mom telling me her story, of when she was kidnapped. I wonder if it was possible that my siren song would work on a high ranking vampire.

“You are a royal, a hybrid royal, the future Queen Of Andora”, Lyla perked up.

“It should work Lora, we need to get out, our pups need us”, she said.
