does this ever finish the story of Lena CARTER, abused by her stepmother and stepsister Cassie (who didn't know Julian) instead of this ridiculous re-writing of the story partway through that changes her to the accomplished Lena VASQUEZ and Cassie was Julian's wife for 11 years?!?!

I read this book because the introductory 6 chapters made me curious. The second half of the book was written in an interesting style, however the location, the characters names were confused, the months were out of sequence. The 2nd half was the same plot in an alternative style with many flaws.

I was enjoying this until around chapter 53. Names changed, timelines changed. I don’t think it is the same story I started.

Enjoyable. Started reading this on another platform. They suddenly change the name of the lead. Pissed me off. Chinese gold farming continues. Wish USA had reading apps. Hate giving my time and or money to the Chinese!

This much better book and deal than one I’ve been reading. I was ready to leave this site, unless I started reading this book.
