She did not speak to Mason on the call.

She held the phone to her ear and let him talk — thirty-two seconds of it, the soft, reasonable cadence of a man who had spent his whole life using his voice as a key — and then she ended the call and put the phone face-down on the table.

Everyone was looking at her.

"That number goes to Torres in the next ten minutes," she said. "Along with everything from Volkov's call. Both of them, simultaneously. Torres gets all of it."
