Time Pause

Loud bombs and gun shots aired around the alley. Afraid but we need to be strong and this is what we compromise for our own country. Hiding in every broken walls and shot them with hawk eye. 

Blood spread and dead body laid limply on the ground. Their own blood were decorated in their shirt. My eyes were on them, but then there I saw that person.

The person who'd I want to protect, but how can I? When we both promised to face this war. I always take time to look at him, afraid that if I look away, he'd be gone. I want to protect him the way he protected me too. 

I've been looking at him the way I shouldn't be. It wasn't wrong I believe, but as a soldier and him being the same with me, it shouldn't be. I haven't confess to him yet. Yes, I love him, and now I wanted to tell him how I feel before we, by any unfortunate situation, will depart unexpectedly. He was so focused, and I was about to look back and shot a person again, I saw a person, appeared on his side by the side of my eyes. 

I looked back, and that's when I know, I can't lose the person I love. 

"JAYDEEEN!!" he heard me but instead of going away, he just turned around and look at me. 

I ran towards him but before I can lay my finger on him, one shot made his eyes widen. He slowly fell down on his knees and look at me. 

Tears began to fall from my eyes as I saw him getting weaker. I directly went on his side before he could fall. His head laid on my lap as I nudge his head continuously.

"No Jayden, wake up please." I beg at him, my voice a bit low, chocking by my own sob. 

"N-no, no please." My voice roared when his eyes closed before he could touch my face. He smiled at me but it's too late. 

"Gabriel!!! Get back!!!" One of the officers screams at me but the flare inside my body. I began to cry hard surrounded by bombs and fire. I hugged him tightly.

" I will kill that person. " I grab the gun tightly with the flaring anger inside my body. 

" I will definitely kill that person who shot him. " No longer enough I saw him on the thin wall I didn't waste any time, I shot him multiple time with a loud scream. When I'm contended that he was gone. I felt body weaken and I let my self fall in ground. Not noticing someone was behind in my back and shot cluelessly. And that's when I knew the time stops. And looked at the person who laid not to distance from me tears, and blood harmonized together and before I can let my self at Peace on my last breath I whispered the word I've been longing for to tell him 

"I love you."
