Chapter 24

　　Zoey was about to go upstairs when she suddenly spun around.

She looked around, as if searching for something that had caught her attention.

There was no one there.

Landon seemed suspicious. He imagined him asking her, \"What\'s the matter?\"

He couldn’t hear a word they were saying. He was too far from them.

Maybe she felt his presence, Jerome thought. Can people sense it when they’re being watched from afar?

Landon led her upstairs.

He asked the nurse to cook a bowl of ginger soup for her, fearing that she might catch a cold. Zoey could feel Landon\'s love for her.

They went to the same school, but they had an awkward encounter when he had confessed to her that he liked her, and she could not reciprocate his feelings. Then a year ago, he had saved her life and cared for her. His feelings for her were real.

When she was feeling better, she began to fall in love with him and they started dating.
