Rose POV

I was in the middle of a deep sleep when the knock came.
It was soft at first, like maybe I had imagined it. But then it came again—firmer, deliberate.

I groaned, rolling over, wondering who in the world would be at my door this late. My mind immediately went to Martha; she’d said she might stop by. Maybe she forgot her key again.

Dragging my blanket off, I shuffled to the door.

The moment I opened it, my breath caught.

Luther.

Standing there, looking unfairly handsome under the dim porch light. Dark shirt, sleeves rolled up, a bouquet of roses in one hand and a small black velvet box in the other.

His eyes—sharp yet… softer than I’d ever seen them—were fixed on me like I was the only thing in the world worth looking at.

I froze. “What are you doing here?” My voice came out softer than I intended, almost like I was afraid to scare him away.

He stepped inside without breaking eye contact, the faintest smirk on his lips. “I could ask you the same thing, but… I guess you’ve been here all along.”

I shut the door behind him, still too stunned to move. “You shouldn’t just show up—”

“I needed to see you,” he cut in, his voice low, deliberate. “I owe you an apology.”

I blinked. “For what?”

“For that kiss.” His jaw tightened. “I didn’t know it was coming. I wasn’t the one who made the move. But you—” He stopped, searching my face.

“You need to know something about me, Rose. I don’t apologize easily. If I say I’m sorry, I mean it.”

I swallowed hard. “Luther—”

“No,” he stepped closer, the roses brushing against my arm. “You shouldn’t be scared of me. I’d never hurt you. And whether you like it or not, you’re already part of this world. You dated Vicenzo. That alone puts you in danger. Which means I’ll protect you… even from him.”

The weight in his voice was heavy, final. It wasn’t a promise—it was a vow.

I didn’t know what to say.

Then his gaze dropped briefly to the floor before locking on mine again, intense, unblinking.

“Rose,” he said, his voice lowering to something almost intimate, “do you still want me? Now that you know the real me—outside the composure, outside the calm… the man I really am. I want to know if you want me just as much as I want you.”

My heart was pounding, my mouth dry.
I could feel every muscle in my body tense, torn between instinct and desire.

I could literally feel myself getting weak at his voice, I could hear the sincerity in his voice and deep down I felt it was true.

“Rose” he said again as he came closer while dropped the gifts on the table.

“I’ll guess I’ll take my leave now, I’ll be back soon expecting your reply” he said as he turned his back to leave.

“Lu..ther!!!!” I called out to him as he turned his back to me

“Kiss me” I said as his eyes opened in surprise, he drew me closer to himself as he placed his lips on mine, drawing me closer to himself , he tightened his arms around me , I could feel my knees weaken and my body melting into his arms.

He stopped for a moment as he looked at me, my breath now steady but fast almost like I was panting but I wasn’t.

“Don’t stop Luther”

I said to him as he took me up in his arms and took me to my room and placed me softly on the bed.

He trailed the kissed from my mouth to my neck, using his tongues and lips like I was his favorite candy, I could feel the heat between my legs as I reached for his button and opened his shirt, I pulled it off exposing his perfectly toned biceps, I kissed him back as he yanked away my dress from my body slowly.

I pulled him closer to me ,opening my self a bit apart , hooking my legs crossed across his waist.

“You sure you want this” he said his voice low and husky.

“Yes Luther” I said in between moans as he guided himself into me almost torturing me , I pulled him deeper into me.

“Ro…se” his moans low and husky while I did that act, I was almost losing it hearing him moan in my ears while he was in me ,sent thousands of shock waves around my body, his body seemed perfect for me ,I felt my self almost climaxing as I held him tighter and his pace increased while I released.

“Turn around” he said , I felt weak but I liked the sound of that and just like that my body listened to his voice betraying me as I set my self in the perfect arch, I was dropping his hand firm on my waist as he drove his length into me.

I could feel him in my womb , deep in my womb I was almost resisting.

“You can take it girl” he said ,

His words , his words had a hypnotic effect on me and I let him fill his whole length into me, it started slow , the pleasure was so much I could feel it in my head.

He increased his pace, both plain and pleasure was driven to me, his hand tight and firm, I could feel his length increasing and then I knew he was about to climax.

There and then he did, I layed down to rest but I felt myself floating again in his arms as he took me to the bathroom and washed me.

“Turn around,” he said in that deep, low voice that always made my heart skip.

I hesitated, but something in me obeyed before my mind could argue.

Slowly, I turned my back to him, the sound of his legs shifting against my floor the only thing filling the silence.

His fingers grazed the nape of my neck first, then trailed slowly down my spine light, deliberate touches that made my body shiver involuntarily.

“Cold?” he asked quietly, almost teasing.

“Not exactly,” I whispered, my voice betraying the effect he had on me.

From the corner of my eye, I caught the small black velvet box in his other hand. He flipped it open, and there it was — a diamond necklace so beautiful it could have been stolen from a royal vault.

The sparkling stones caught the dim light, and in the center hung a delicate charm with the letter R engraved in gold. My initial.

My breath caught. “Luther… this is—”

“For you,” he interrupted, his voice firm but gentle.

“Because you’re not just another face to me, Rose. You’re…” he trailed off, as if the rest of the words were too heavy to push out.

I stood frozen as he clasped the necklace around my neck, his fingers brushing against my skin. I could feel the weight of it not just the jewelry, but what it meant.

He stepped back slightly, eyes scanning me like he was memorizing the sight. “Perfect,” he murmured. “Now you look like you belong to me.”

My heart thudded. “And if I don’t?” I asked softly.

His gaze darkened, a small smirk playing at his lips. “Baby girl, you already do.”

  • Torn between mafias    Information

David’s POVThe sound of his footsteps announced him before the door creaked open. My older brother—Vicenzo—stood there, shoulders squared, jaw tight, eyes carrying that restless fire that never seemed to die.“I’m ready,” he said. The words dropped like lead between us.I leaned back in my chair, crossing one leg over the other as if he hadn’t just come demanding truths. My room smelled faintly of tobacco and leather-bound books, my haven, my retreat from his chaos. I let the silence stretch, watching his impatience grow like smoke choking a fire.“Ready?” I echoed at last, a soft smile tugging at my lips. “Ready for what, brother?”He stepped closer, the veins in his neck straining. “I’m ready to know who has the shipment.”Ah. So that was it. His pride had finally bent far enough to seek my help. I folded my hands over my knee, enjoying the moment.“And if I tell you?” I asked lazily. “What then? You’ll rush out there, guns blazing, and end up bleeding for cargo that might already

Vicenzo’s POVThe man trembled on his knees, blood still dripping from the half-bandaged wound on his side. His breathing was ragged, but his eyes held a kind of loyalty I hadn’t seen in a while—not the empty loyalty bought with fear, but the kind born of desperation and belonging.“Get him cleaned up,” I said after a long silence, my voice sharp enough that the guards jumped at the order. “He was one of our best men before all this. I don’t want him rotting away like trash. See that he eats. He’ll talk better with strength in his body.”The man looked up at me, surprise flashing across his battered face. “Thank you, Boss,” he whispered, as though those words cost him his last breath.I gave him a curt nod, then added, “And when he’s patched up, bring him to me. Alone. I’ll hear everything.”He was dragged out, and I stood in the silence again, my chest rising and falling with the rage that burned steadily. My mother watched me, swirling the wine in her glass.“You’re being merciful,”

  • Torn between mafias    Confusion

Vicenzo’s POVAfter David left, silence stretched in the room. I leaned back against the desk, my arms folded, and my mother stood across from me, her glass of wine in hand. For a long moment, we just stared at each other. She was the first to break it.“Why is he back?” Alessia’s tone was flat, but beneath it lay the cold steel I knew too well.I rubbed at my jaw. “He claims he has information to exchange for money.”Her laugh was sharp, dry. “Information? And here I thought he wanted nothing to do with our world. He despised our money.”“He said it wasn’t the dirty money he wanted,” I replied, repeating David’s exact words with a bitter taste in my mouth. “He says he only has something to sell. Not to take.”I could see the twist of her mouth, the way her expression soured as though even David’s name was rot. Truth be told, I didn’t like him either. He opposed everything we did, always standing higher than us in his self-righteousness. And somewhere deep down, I knew he secretly enj

  • Torn between mafias    Stubborn son

Alessia’s POVThe murmur of voices drifted faintly down the hallway, threading its way through the heavy silence of the house. I had been pouring myself a glass of wine in the sitting room, but the sound made me pause. Vicenzo’s tone was distinct—deep, controlled, carrying that casual arrogance that came so naturally to him. Yet there was another voice, one that stirred something sharper inside me.I moved quietly, my heels clicking against the marble with deliberate precision. As I drew closer to the study, the voices grew clearer. And then, as if fate itself had turned the knife deeper, I recognized it.David.My eldest. The son who had turned his back on me, on this family, on everything that bound us together. The son who thought himself above the dirt that fed us, above the blood that kept us alive. My lips pressed into a thin line as an old ache, half-buried beneath years of bitterness, surfaced.I opened the door. There he was. My long-lost boy. Not bent to my will the way Vice

Vicenzo’s POVThe air in the study was heavy with the scent of Cuban cigars and aged leather, the kind of atmosphere that spoke of power, secrets, and men who never slept peacefully. I leaned back in my chair, fingers tapping against the polished mahogany desk as my eyes bored into David, my younger brother, who stood opposite me like a restless shadow. He shifted his weight from one foot to the other, his eyes refusing to meet mine, and already I knew what he was here for. David had never learned to look me in the eye when he wanted something. He was ashamed of needing me, but not enough to stay away.“So,” I said, my voice cutting through the silence, low and laced with disdain, “you finally come to me after months of pretending you want nothing to do with my business, my life, my empire. Yet here you are… standing in front of me, hands itching for the very thing you claim you despise. Money.”David’s jaw tightened, but he didn’t answer immediately. I almost laughed at the irony. He

Vicenzo POVI paced across the marble floor of my office, the sound of my shoes ricocheting against the silence. The air was thick with smoke from the half-burnt cigarette between my fingers, but it did nothing to calm me. My chest felt tight, like invisible hands were squeezing me.“Where the hell is my shipment?” I muttered under my breath, slamming my palm against the edge of the desk. This wasn’t just a box of weapons or a container of product. This shipment was supposed to seal a deal with the Russians—a deal that bought me leverage, bought me time, bought me my reputation. Without it, I looked weak. And weakness in this business? It’s a death sentence.I’d already sent my men combing through the ports, calling every contact, squeezing every informant. Nothing. Silence. Like the sea had swallowed it whole. My mind raced. Could Luther have intercepted it? That bastard Lombardi always lurked in the shadows, waiting for a chance to humiliate me. Or maybe it was one of the cartel s
