Lucian rushed back inside and hastily put on a shirt and jeans. I followed suit, wearing my nighties from last night, my heart pounding with worry. Together, we hurried out of the room and made our way to Mrs. Victoria's.

“What happened mother?” Lucian asked the moment we stepped inside.

Mrs. Victoria's frail voice quivered as she spoke, "I... I couldn't breathe, Lucian. Something was crushing my chest." She coughed weakly, struggling to catch her breath.

Lucian knelt beside the bed, holding her hand gently. "We'll get you the help you need, mother. Just hang in there."

I stood by their side, my heart aching for Mrs. Victoria, feeling helpless in the face of her distress.
