Chapter 9

I close my eyes, just taking in everything that just happened. I feel Kaleb move off of me, kissing my nose as he gets up.

"Come on beautiful. Let's go get cleaned up. We don't know when someone will be here to get us out today, so we should be ready." Kaleb holds out his hand for me to take. I grab it and he helps me up. Kalebs wraps a blanket around me and we head upstairs. I hope someone comes for us today. It's starting to get really cold in here and the food supply won't last much longer. I guess all we can do is wait.

But no one came. It's been five days since we talked to Lily and her parents. Mark had said there would be a team going out the next morning. But no one showed up. What if the cabin is too buried? What if they can't find us? We'll freeze in here. It's already so cold. We have to wear full winter gear in here. Hats, gloves, boots, and everything. It doesn't feel much different than the outside felt before the avalanche.
