ELENA'S POV

The moment I got to the hospital I heard glass smashed from the far corner of the room and I noticed how people began to scream, and I furrowed my eyebrows feeling extremely confused.

"What's happening?" I asked the receptionist and I could see the clear fear in her eyes and I knew she was going to happen.

I walked towards where the commotion was taking place and while pushing through people, for heaven’s sake this was a hospital, why were these people asking like animals?

"Leave me the fuck alone!" I heard Ciro yell and my eyes widened.

It wasn't even eight yet, and he was here already, what could have possibly made him this angry so early in the morning.

I pushed through people and the moment I got to him, I held his hand as soon as I saw it coming towards my face, and he turned around to hit me but stopped his fist midair the moment he noticed it was me.

"Take a deep breath." I instructed, but he kept looking at me.

"And why would I do that?" He questioned, and I swear I could literally feel his hot breath on my face.

I picked a ball from my bag and stuffed it into his hands and instructed him to squeeze it while taking a deep breath, and he slowly began to calm down.

"That's more like it, come on, let's go." I tried to help him, but he pulled away.

"I can help myself."

"And you are such a thief, Ciro." I commented the moment I saw my grandma's bracelet, he let out a laugh.

"Well, you finally noticed it."

"Of course I will, it's my grandma's, so why did you decide to pick a fight so early in the morning?" I questioned the moment we got into my office, and just then we realized we were holding hands all along.

He immediately let go of the hand like it was fire and took a seat, not really wanting things to be awkward. I sat on my chair and picked up his file from the drawer.

"Why did you decide to pick up a fight, Ciro?"

"I didn't want to, Griffin made me so mad. I wasn't supposed to be here so freaking early in the morning and to top it all I'm hungry." he still had that angry look on his face and Alex really didn't look like he was having it outside.

"Here, eat up." I took my tiffin out of my bag and gave it to him, but he looked at me weirdly before pushing it back to me.

"No, it's your lunch or something else, and I'm not really a fan of homemade food." I placed my hand on his.

"No one refuses homemade food, Ciro and you need to eat something, or you will end up having a fight with me."

"But I don't like you."

"And I'm not comfortable knowing that you have an empty stomach, give me a second." I stood up and pushed the food towards Jim before walking outside to meet Alex.

"Did he cause any trouble?"

"Frankly, you caused the trouble, why didn't you guys give him something to eat before coming here and why so early in the morning?!" I yelled at him.

"The FBI insisted I bring him early so that I could take him back early, and the food isn't really ready yet."

"Come on Alex the least you could do for him is get something for him to eat, he is a dangerous person, has anger issues the hell you think is going to happen when he gets hungry, and he is in the midst of people!"

"I'm sorry that won't happen again."

"Tell the FBI or police department that he isn't coming here anyone I'll come and meet him every day from now I'm not sticking with a three days schedule any more understand?"

"Yes ma'am." I turned around and walked back into the office only to see him sleeping with his head on the desk.

"Ciro?" I questioned, and his eyes flew open, then he shut them again. "... Are you ok?" I tried to touch him, but he slapped my hand out of the way and sat up.

"I'm fine, what do you have for me today?"

"Why are you upset now?" He looked at me for a few minutes before he burst into laughter like a maniac.

"You always look so funny, but why aren't you scared of me though? I mean I'm the world's deadliest as a matter of fact, but you chose to risk it, why?" I sat down on the desk, inches away from him.

"Because you baffle me, trust me I didn't want you as a patient, but then I saw that you burnt down a prison yard. I mean, who does that?" He let out a laugh.

"So I baffle you, right?" He raised an eyebrow and I knew he was up to something, but I couldn't really tell what it was.

"You do eventually."

"Then enjoy and feel the moment." I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.

"What?"

"You know exactly what I said, so enjoy it while it lasts, Sugar."

"Sugar? Really?"

"You don't like it?"

"I don't care what you call me."

"Now that's more like it Sugar now tell me more about yourself, how did you get to this point in your life."

"I'm meant to be asking you that question." he let out a laugh, and I was trying not to run out of patience, but he was testing me and I knew it.

"Come on doc, just answer the question." He sat up on the chair, and now he was just a few inches away from my face.

"And if I don't?" I questioned while feeling his hot breath on my face.

"Then you leave me with no choice, Sugar." he kissed me.
