Author's POV:
In the courtyard of the massive packhouse, two men sat side by side. One was Alpha James, the leader of the Silver pack, and the other was Beta Hudson, Mia's Ex husband.
Alpha James was busily discussing the project they had at hand - a new and bigger orphanage for the area.
But as Alpha James spoke, he noticed that his Beta seemed lost in thought.
Concerned, Alpha James turned to him and asked, "Hudson, what's going on? You seem distracted"
Hudson, taking a deep sigh, replied, "James, I... I got divorced from my wife."
James' eyes widened in surprise at the unexpected revelation. The news hit him like a bolt from the blue.
"What? When?!" He asked, his voice echoing in the entire courtyard of the pack house.
Hudson sighed tiredly and relaxed in his chair, "It's been like, a week now" he informed and James stared at him like he grew an extra head.
James couldn't contain his curiosity and asked again, "Why did you divorce your wife, Hudson? And how come I didn't know about it?" Hudson let out a tired sigh, sinking deeper into his chair. He rubbed his head, feeling the weight of the past week on his shoulders. "It's been a crazy rollercoaster," Hudson replied.
James, clearly not thrilled about being left in the dark, persisted, "Come on, Hudson, I as the Alpha should have known! What happened?"
Hudson sighed, "My mate found out that I got someone else pregnant, and she got mad. She asked for a divorce"
He said.
Alpha James blinked in surprise, "you what?" He clearly didn't see that coming.
understandably angry, he scolded Hudson, saying, "How could you get another woman pregnant while you were clearly married?"
Hudson took a deep breath and replied, "James, I know it sounds complicated, but deep down, all I ever wanted was to have a child. My wife's infertility was devastating, and I made a mistake in seeking comfort elsewhere. I never meant to hurt anyone, but I understand the gravity of my actions."
Truly, Hudson never wanted to hurt Mia. It was just that he had a one night stand with the Moon pack Alpha's daughter and she ended up pregnant.
It came as him an unexplainable joy when he found out about it.
It proved that he wasn't the one at fault in giving her a baby.
It was her fault. She was infertile.
"Hudson, this is alot. You hurt your mate so deep and I can imagine what she must have gone through" James suddenly said. He was clearly not in support of anything that Hudson had done.
Heck he couldn't even imagine leaving without his mate. Whether there was a child or not, he loved her more than life itself.
"So where did she go?"
He was reffering to Mia's where abouts.
Hudson took a moment and replied, "On that day, I watched her leave with her friend."
James let out a tired sigh, clearly worn out by the whole situation. He asked Hudson, "Alrigh t then, what's your next move? What are you planning to do now?"
Hudson, with a determined tone, responded, "James, I've made up my mind. I'm going to mate with the Daughter of the Moon pack Alpha. It's a decision I've thought long and hard about. I believe it's the best path forward for me."
James, realizing the gravity of Hudson's decision, sighed again, this time conveying his weariness and perhaps a touch of disappointment. The situation had become incredibly complex, and James was undoubtedly tired of dealing with the aftermath.
But it was clear that both men were facing a challenging and emotionally charged situation.
More like just Hudson was facing it. James merely casted pitiful glances at him.
"Let's go for a drink" James then said after a while of silence.
Hudson hummed in reply and stood up, ready to leave the packhouse behind.
The driver was waiting for them, and they hopped into the car, eager to embrace a change of scenery.
As they arrived at the big VIP club, they couldn't help but be struck by the opulence and grandeur of the place.
It was a new club that was recently opened by one of the triplet Alphas of the Moonclaw pack. The richest and most powerful pack in the country.
It was clear that the club was designed for the rich and influential. The moment they stepped out of the car, they were greeted by the sight of luxurious cars lining the entrance, with valets scurrying around to ensure everything was in perfect order.
The club itself was a sight to behold. It was adorned with elegant chandeliers, shimmering in a warm golden glow. The walls were decorated with intricate artwork, showcasing the talent and creativity of renowned artists. Plush velvet couches and sleek marble tables were scattered throughout the space, creating an atmosphere of refined luxury.
Despite the grandeur, there was a surprising sense of calmness in the air. The music playing in the background was soft and melodic, creating a soothing ambiance. People were engaged in intimate conversations, their laughter mingling with the clinking of glasses and the occasional pop of a champagne bottle. It was a place where the rich could unwind, away from the chaos of the outside world.
Hudson was amazed by the sight before him.
"The triplets must be very rich to afford to generate such a place." He commented in awe as they stepped even deeper into the place.
James nodded with a smile.
"They're filthy rich, more like the richest in the country. I'm friends with them, I'll introduce when they arrive" he said with pride and Hudson looked at him expectantly.
"That would be a big pleasure!" Said Hudson in excitement.
The thought of meeting the famous Triplet Alphas was like a dream come true for someone like him.
Those men where top dogs of the society. One someone like James wasn't even worthy to meet.
He was very proud of James for having such Alliance with such powerful men.
The beauty of the club extended beyond it's physical appearance. It was an embodiment of the rich lifestyle, where indulgence and extravagance were the norm. The scent of expensive perfumes and colognes wafted through the air, adding an extra layer of sophistication.
The staff, dressed impeccably in tailored suits and elegant dresses, moved gracefully, attending to the needs of the guests with utmost professionalism.
It was a world that seemed detached from reality, where money flowed freely and worries were left at the door.
The VIP club offered a glimpse into a life of luxury, a place where the elite could come together and revel in their success.
As James and Hudson took in the sights and sounds of the club, they couldn't help but be captivated by the allure of this exclusive world.
Hudson had one thought in mind as they settled in a corner.
What would it feel like to be an Alpha of his own?
Author's POV:For a moment, Mia didn't know how to react.Jaxon: what are you two on about? You're blowing up my notifications.Mia keenly read his text again and again. What if they disagree on something about her or worse, fight? What would she do then? The three of them were her mates. But they were also separate people. They were bound to disagree. She decided not to worry about that. She would cross that bridge when she got there.A private message entered her phone. Jace: look out your window.Mia looked up from her phone confused and looked outside her window. There, was Jace, waving with a boyish smile on his face.Mia's eyes widened, “Jace!” I called.“Where?” Melanie asked, looking around. She spotted him outside the window and gasped. “He's here. And I look like a sewer rat.”She abandoned the rest of her cereal and ran to her room. Mia dropped her bowl on the table and stood to her feet, going to get the door.“Hey,” Jace said, holding out a bouquet of sunflowers. “These a
Mia's POV:That was not what I meant. “No, I mean…” I start to say sounding flustered.Jackson laughed, amused by my response. “I know what you mean, Mia. I was just pulling your legs.” He said, he cocked his head just a tiny bit to the left and gave me a charming smile. If I wasn't already his mate, I would have fallen for him.We had the rest of our chocolate and we got back into the elevator. It was already a few minutes past ten.“The driver's gone,” I said when we walked out.“Yeah, I sent him home for the day,” Jackson replied, twirling keys in his hand.“Oh,” I said.“That's because I'll be taking you home myself.” That's when I saw the motorcycle. I immediately grew cold feet.“Oh, no, no, no, I'm not entering that,” I said. I'm not a rude or prim and proper lady that doesn't enter bikes. But I just have this fear of motorcycles. It's been something I've been dealing with since I was a child. I saw a ghastly accident once and it was enough to seal my fear.“What? Why not?”“I
Mia's POV:I turned my head. Although my mind told me he didn't want to kiss me, my heart was pounding so hard that I believed he was going to kiss me.I heard him chuckle. His fingers grazed the side of my cheek before tucking strands of my hair behind my ear. I blushed, embarrassed.“I wasn't going to kiss you. I just wanted to get this hair out of your face.” he chuckled, amused by my reaction. He straightened and walked back to his seat. “I want to be able to see you while we spend time together.”I smiled back at him although I was burning with embarrassment. I downed the rest of my wine in a hurry, causing him to chuckle again. He refilled my glass.“Don't drink so quickly,” he said. I nodded. I just shouldn't jump to conclusions so easily. “And if I want to kiss you, you'll know. I'll ask you first.”My eyes flitted to see him staring intensely at me. I swallowed and nodded, telling him that I understood. He glanced behind me and smiled, “Our dinner's here.”I hadn't even heard
Mia's POV:“Melanie!” I exclaimed in horror, sitting up. I looked at the rearview mirror just in time to see the driver look at it.“Is everything okay back there, miss?” He asked.“Everything is fine. Don't worry,” I told him forcing a smile and then turning to look at Melanie. It couldn't be, right? She didn't like my mate, did she?She burst into a fit of laughter. “I'm joking! Relax. Don't you know how friends act? It's like saying, I want someone like your mate but not that I want your mate. Does that make sense?” She explained.“Are you sure?” I asked, warily. With Melanie, I couldn't tell if she was faking the humor or if she had slipped up and told me the truth. I needed to learn to read her better.“Of course, I am, Mia. It's not that deep, I promise.” She said, holding up her pinky finger.I sighed. “Okay, I got scared there.”“You thought I wanted to take away one of your super hot and rich mates?” She asked.“No, I thought you liked one of my super hot and rich mates and n
Mia's POV:I was scared. Something had happened while I was busy enjoying a massage. I grabbed Melanie's arm, “What? What happened?”“This house is awesome!” She screamed jumping and twirling at the same time. She was like a teenager excited about their new phone.I exhaled, glad that it wasn't something else. “Ohh? I haven't seen the place yet.”Melanie looked at Felicity curiously. “Who's she?” She asked.Felicity didn't take any offense and she held out her hand. “Hi, I'm Felicity—Mia's friend.”I looked at her as Melanie said, “I didn't know you made a new friend.”“We bonded over massages and manicures,” Felicity said, showing Melanie our nude-painted nails.“You had manicures?!” Melanie exclaimed, grabbing my hand.“Come show me the house,” I said, grabbing her hand and dragging her into the house.“Goodnight, girls.” Felicity chuckled.“Goodnight,” Melanie and I threw over our shoulder at her.***When I woke up, I was a bit confused. I didn't know where I was. The ceiling was
Mia's POV:I didn't know whether Jackson was jealous that Jaxon had kissed my hand or his eyes darkened because he thought of all the things he could do for me. I didn't know.I also didn't know how having three mates felt. Did they get jealous when one mate got closer to me or touched me? How were the three of them supposed to share one mate?I didn't know how possible it was because it was something that I had only heard about. Well, I was going to find out soon.Wait, did they know I had been married? I asked them because I needed them to know that. I needed them to be comfortable with the fact that I had been with someone before them.“We know everything there is to know about Mia. We just don't know you, personally.” Jace said.“And we don't care if you're divorced, heck, we don't care if you killed someone or multiple people,” Jackson added.“We just want you, Mia. All of you.” Jaxon completed.I was going to cry. I was going to cry in front of three grown men. I managed not to
Mia's POV:“From hair to nails, waxing to massages, the Triplets have booked the beauty parlor to attend to your every need.” She explained.“They booked the beauty parlor? You mean the whole thing?” I gestured at the large building behind her.She smiled. It wasn't mocking or anything. She seemed happy that I was getting this treatment for some reason. “Yes, the whole thing.”Why would they do that? Why would they want to change everything about me? Was I not good enough for them?It reminded me of Hudson. The only reason he paid for me to have my hair done or get massages was when he had important events. He needed me to be the trophy wife.I thought that he just wanted to doll me up but he specifically asked for my hair to be straightened because he didn't like my curls. I don't want the Triplets to do the same thing to me.“Don't look so worried. They asked me to get your permission first before anything was done. They wanted to make sure that you were comfortable and—” she paused
Mia's POV:I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little floored by this gesture. There were enough flowers to start a whole shop outside my door and now, the driver.“Oh, yes!” Melanie squealed. “Look at you, you're so lucky.”I raised a brow at her. “What do you mean ‘me’? We're both riding to work.” I corrected her.Her face immediately flushed and she shook her hand in front of me. “Oh, no, I couldn't do that.” She chuckled nervously.“Well, I insist. Anywhere I go, you go.” I said sternly grabbing her arm and walking towards the driver. “And if the Triplets don't like that, then they're going to be disappointed.”Melanie and I took the car and the guards escorted us to the orphanage. It was a little overkill because it brought more attention to us than keeping us safe.“Thank you,” I said to the driver. He bowed and I lowered my head. He was older than me and I felt weird for having him bow at me. I watched him get back into the car and drive away.I let out a breath. “I think I'm
Mia’s POV:My eyes widened. Why were they here already? Did someone already inform them of my arrival? I looked out the window just in time to see them getting out of their cars. The guards stationed in front bowed.Oh. It must have been them. They had seen me come in here and they must have informed the Triplets. Either way, they were here and I had to meet them.I turned back to look at Melanie and Jennifer. “How do I look?” I asked, suddenly feeling self-conscious. I was meeting my mates for crying out loud and I was wearing what I considered a plain dress.“You look decent. Now, go!” Melanie said, pushing me to walk back to the entrance. Just as she did that, the Triplets appeared looking left, then right until they spotted me.Time seemed to stand still as they stared at me. Then, as if in slow motion, they walked towards me. My heart raced the closer they came.'Mate,’ Cassey growled, excitedly.“Um…” I started to say but I was lost on words. They were here and I didn't know wha
