Masuk***CALISTA'S POV***
I ran my fingers through my hair, trying my best to hide my fear and frustration as I walked into the airport.Dressed in a long red open back gown that tightly embraced my body, highlighting my curves, I suddenly felt relieved that Raviel hadn't left any mark on me for the past few days.
I walked bravely toward where Severin told me he was, and I soon saw him sitting while chatting with an old woman.
I stood by a pillar, rested my back on it as I watched him...
Severin was really handsome. His sharp features would have worked perfectly as a Mafia lord, but the touch of softness made him look more like a loving husband. His tenderness whenever he conversed with people could make anyone lose their heads for him... He was my perfect gift___
Severin seemed to notice my presence as he raised his head and looked in my direction. He flashed a pleasant smile and stood up. I saw him say something to the old woman before walking toward me in large strides.
Opening his arms, he wrapped me in a tight and warm hug. "I missed you." He whispered, kissing my hair.
I smiled, wrapped my arms around his waist, and returned the hug. "I missed you a lot, too," I replied.
I indeed missed him a lot. Despite everything I did with Raviel, I still missed Severin so much.
He broke the hug and held my hand, the other hand holding his bag. "Let's go home. You look beautiful." He pointed out.
I laughed, feeling happy and contented. "You caught a brilliant fish, you know?" I winked.
Severin pressed his lips in a thin line. "No. My babe is more than a fish. She's a huge dragon, instead."
My eyes widened.
"Who else but my woman owns the largest art empire in the country? Painting, singing, acting, or even dancing. She's perfect in everything." He planted a kiss on the back of my hand and smiled. "I love you, Cal."
I looked into his sincere eyes, and my heart clenched. "I love you so much more, Severin." This was my true feeling.
Severin kissed the corner of my mouth and led me out of the airport. We saw our car waiting at the other side of the road, and he led me toward it. "I will drive." He suggested.
I snapped out of my daze and raised a brow. "Who was it that spent hours on a plane to get here? I will drive instead." I pushed him to the other side of the car and quickly rushed to sit behind the wheel.
Severin sat beside me and smiled. "Then, please."
I started the car and drove to the hotel we had booked for our stay, and I led the way to our suite. Opening the door, I flashed a smile at Severin, who was behind me.
"Neat, as always." He commented, smiling.
My heart clenched, and my smile dimmed... I wasn't neat___ I just didn't visit the room often.
I took his bag from him and helped him arrange his things. "How was the project? Has it been signed?" I asked while setting his things in the closet, but there was no response.
Turning around, I saw Severin stepping out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his narrow waist, water dripping from his wet hair, down to his firm chest muscles, forming a distinct line along his eight packs, and hiding into the line of his mermaid curve that had been covered by a white towel.
My eyes lingered on the towel, suddenly feeling the urge to curse.
Severin laughed. He walked toward me, pulled my hand, and I landed in his embrace. He placed a soft kiss on my lips, his cold and soft lips pressed on mine. "Wanna see?" He whispered.
My eyes brightened, and my cheeks turned red. I pursed my lips, pouting. "It's been more than a week already. I'm starting to forget what it looks like." I complained.
Severin poked my nose with his finger and laughed. "Waking the beast, huh?" He captured my pouting lips and kissed hard. His warm tongue entered my mouth and linked with mine, swirling in a circle in my mouth.
His fingers, which were cold due to the bath, slowly moved to my breasts, and he fondled them.
I wasn't on bra. His coolness directly hit through the gown, and I moaned into his mouth.
Severin moved his hand downward, he raised my gown and placed his hand on my bare waist, rubbing it. "You have a call." He whispered.
I opened my eyes slightly and shook my head. "Leave it," I replied and deepened the kiss.
Severin's hand left my bare waist and he grabbed my hips with his two hands instead. "It might be important." He pressed on.
I groaned, feeling displeased. I looked into his eyes, trying to plead my way out.
"No. It might be Celine. Your job is important, too." He persisted.
Feeling annoyed but with no way to vent, I turned around to pick up my phone, which was on his bag, while cursing whoever was calling at the moment, but my heart ceased when I saw the caller.
My fingers froze for a moment and I frowned. "A moment, please," I said to Severin who had taken a few steps back and was drying his hair with a towel.
He nodded, not saying a word.
I looked at him one last time before stepping out of the suite. I couldn't answer the call anywhere near Severin...
The moment I closed the door, I ended the call and decided to text the scum. *Fuck off.*
*I don't want to fuck off. I want to fuck you instead.* He replied.
"Damn you, Raviel. Severin's around!*
A low chuckle rang in the silent corridor and raising my head, I saw Raviel waving his phone before me.
My blood boiled, and anger surged in me as I stormed toward him. "The heck are you doing?!" I shouted at him.
Raviel held my waist and slowly kissed my neck. "I missed you." He suddenly said.
I stiffened.
"I want to fuck you." He grabbed my breast and pressed hard. His tongue licked my neck down to my cleavage. "I'm horny." He whispered.
My temperature rose and I swallowed hard. I closed my eyes, feeling torn. "We can't," I replied but did nothing to push him off. "There's CCTV around here." I pointed out.
"I know. Let's go to my suite then." He suggested.
For a moment, I was about to nod. I needed him, too and I was fully aroused. However, thinking about Severin who was waiting for me in the room, my heart turned cold.
"Stop," I ordered. "Get the fuck off me.'
Raviel's hand, which was playing with my breast, stopped, and he slowly raised his head. His blue eyes held mine for a moment before he nodded and turned around. "I'm leaving tonight." He left his word behind and walked away.
I stared at his cold back and my heart lurched. Shaking my head, I arranged my dress and opened the door, returning to my suite... Severin was waiting for me.
"You're back." Severin smiled. He was styling his hair.
I nodded and returned the smile. "Going out?"
"Yes. Let's go get the things for our wedding. We are registering the wedding in three days." He announced.
My heart skipped a beat.
CALISTAMy brows twitched. What did she mean?Selene laughed maniacally. "What a big fool. No one likes you, Calista. No one will ever do."My heart pounded. Breath hitched and breathing became difficult. My legs weakened, and I nearly fell, but a pair of hands held my waist from behind. Turning my head, I saw Raviel smiling down at me. A rarely genuine smile. Comforting and assuring. I swallowed and closed my eyes. How could I let Selene's words affect me so much?Selene wasn't human. She was a devil!A beast in a human form. So, why should I believe what she said? Why would I believe what she said to me?My skin prickled. I rubbed roughly, and for a moment, I felt like I had traveled back in time. I was on the ground, small and trembling. Tears rolled down my face as whips tore my skin. Laughter rang in the air. Not many people, but a person. Selene. Her small hand... we were less than 16. We were so young, but she was so evil. I was in pain, but she laughed. She enjoyed
CALISTA'S POV I hooked my arm around Raviel's as I greeted the executives who came around. "Miss Calista," I suddenly heard a call behind me. A familiar voice. My smile faltered, and my eyes flickered with Raviel, who was beside me. Our eyes hooked. Our arms were hooked...I sighed and finally turned around, facing Selene. "Hi?" I greeted with a smile. Selene's eyes sized Raviel, and she crossed her arms. "See who's here." She laughed. "Isn't this our Calista with someone else? Or has Mr. Severin changed so much?" She questioned. My heart sank slightly. Selene was a Bitch. She would stop at nothing to make sure Severin knew about my relationship with Raviel..."Maybe you need your eyes checked, Selene," I muttered and quickly composed myself. Even if she said anything, it didn't matter. Severin had never monitored me, and with a few words, I could always let him understand that there was nothing between Raviel and me. Raviel wasn't the type to talk either. Selene snickered.
DRAKE'S POVI stood at the corner, watching as everyone attended to each other. No one knew me, and honestly, I wasn't supposed to be there. I wasn't invited. However, wherever my target was, I had to be. It had been this way for two years already, and while I hadn't gained much, I wouldn't back off either. It was a work given to me, and it needed to be done without flaws. I slowly sipped the fruit wine in my glass while my eyes lingered on the target, a frown deepening on my face as I tried to see through the man next to her. Tall, handsome, but none of these features mattered when compared to the danger I felt whenever I looked at him. Even when he wasn't looking, his presence was like a bomb. He was like a snake watching through the ceiling, capable of wrapping around my neck anytime. Though I knew he might not know about my presence at the moment as no one in the room would, considering my disguise___ a brown wig and a pair of black glasses. I took the identity of an heir
CELINE'S POVI stood behind Calista and Mr Raviel with a calm expression on my face, but my mind worked efficiently. "Continue monitoring his office. Report to me as soon as he comes out." I said into the earpiece and ended the call promptly. My eyes flashed at Calista again, and I inwardly sighed in relief when I realized she hadn't noticed the call. Mr Severin... He mustn't know about Mr Raviel's existence. Calista had decided to keep it secret, and it made me wonder why she kept inviting Mr Raviel to places with crowds. Where people could easily see them and probably report back to Mr Severin. But whatever the case was, my duty was to make sure Mr Severin's movement was under watch, and I could immediately put things under control the moment he stepped out of his company. A ring interrupted my thoughts, and I tapped the earpiece. "What's it?" I asked. "Miss Celine, the data has been encrypted safely. Be assured. No one can hack it anymore."Hearing the word of the professio
CALISTA'S POV I turned around and glanced at Celine, who quietly nodded and excused herself. "I'm done here. Let's go, Raviel." I said to Raviel. Raviel's gaze, which had stayed on Drake for way too long, finally wavered, and he took my hand, leading me out of the room. We both kept quiet because of Louis and his people behind us, but it seemed Raviel had as much as I had in mind. We walked quietly, seemingly enjoying the different paintings in the room while receiving the greetings of the guests around. Raviel's fingers never left mine all through the time we spent walking around. His eyes lingered on me more than they ever did on the paintings, and for some reason, my heart wouldn't stop fluttering. My phone buzzed, and I secretly checked. *I've archived everything. Nothing can be found.*It was a message sent from Celine. I sighed in relief and finally focused my attention on the works of art around us while also waiting for Celine's return. Hours passed, and the exhibitio
CALISTA'S POV "He's your father, isn't he?" Raviel asked. My eyes flashed, and disgust washed through me. "He once was... but not anymore," I replied and stood up. "The exhibition should start now." Right then, a knock came from the door. "Come in," I said, and conveniently changed the topic. The door opened, and a lady, seemingly in her late twenties, walked in. "Miss Calista, Mr Raviel, what would you like me to serve you?" She asked with a subservient tone. I glanced at Raviel, who nonchalantly shrugged and returned his gaze to his phone. Then, I returned my attention to the lady and revealed a polite smile. "We are okay," I replied. "By the way, when is the exhibition starting?" The lady smiled. "Mr Louis should be here to pick you up any moment..." She replied. I knew it was her way to tell us she had no idea. However, the door opened in the next seconds, and Louis walked in, accompanied by the smiling Celine. "Miss Calista, Mr Raviel, it's time." He said. I breathed i
