“Hey honey,” Ashley squeaked in her child-like high voice, wrapping her hands around Nicholas’ arm and tiptoeing to kiss him on his cheek. “What’s wrong?” She asked, rubbing his arm.
Nicholas sighed in exasperation. “Oh God, Ashley!” He has been trying to wave off her advances since the beginning since the beginning of the day but she had been proving stubborn. “We at someone’s funeral, for Christ sake!”
“So?” She asked, shrugging her shoulders indifferently. “It’s not like we knew him anyway. At least, I didn’t know him, so why should I care?”
Nicholas stared at her, surprised. Was she always this cold-hearted and he was just blind to it because of love? Or was this just a new behavior of hers? “Ash, show some sympathy! And of you don’t care, why are you even here?”
“Because,
Diane stood by the window side, looking outside. It was night and she had just finished dinner after a long day at the cemetery.Thinking about the cemetery made her remember the scene of Ashley and Nicholas kissing. She remembered how are heart broke and how terribly weak and disgusted she felt at Nicholas. Just when’s he thought the were starting to make a progress in their relationship, he turned around and betrayed her. If not for Jayden, she wasn’t sure what would have happened to her. She would probably have broken down.Diane shook her head thoroughly. “No,” she cautioned herself in her mind. “Don’t think about that.” She was enjoying the scenery of Logan’s house and thinking about the scene in the cemetery ruined the mood for her. She enjoyed watching the pool. She found immense pleasure in watching the sun set. A smile made a way to her face as she stared outside. The smile soon disappeared as soon as she felt a
Diane walked down the stairs in her blue pajamas. She had spent the night in Natasha’s room. When she got downstairs, she saw Logan, Nicholas, Natasha, Malvika and Jayden seated at the table. She walked towards them and pulled out a chair. “Good morning.”“Hey sis,” Malvika greeted.Diane gave a small smile. “Hi Malvika.” She glanced at Nicholas and caught him staring at her intently. She quickly averted her gaze, lowering her eyes. She turned her head and saw that she had chosen the chair beside Jayden. “Hi Jayden,” Diane greeted with a full smile. Jayden gave her an half-hug with his arms around her shoulder. “Good morning Kristy, Logan,” she paused, then, added, “Nicholas.”“Morning, darling,” Kristy, Logan’s wife said.“Hi, Kristy,” Diane greeted.“Diane, how are you this morning?” Logan asked.Diane smiled brightly. &l
Diane stood in front of her mirror, carefully pulling off her earrings. They had gotten home about twenty minutes ago and she finally had some time to herself. She moved towards her bed and slowly sunk into it, sighing. Her life sucked. At least that’s what she felt. Her father was dead. She was in love with a man who was still so attached to his girlfriend. And tomorrow, she had to go to her company where all the men there looked at her like she was some form of imposter or something.Supporting her elbow with her knee, she placed her head into her palms. The image of Ashley and Nicholas kissing flashed through her head once again and she nearly cried out in anger and bitterness. ‘What is wrong with me?!’ she yelled to herself. ‘Why do I have to keep putting myself in this position?!’She hated this. She hated that all Nicholas had to do was say the word sorry and kiss her and she would immediately forgive him. She hated tha
In every town, every city and every country, there is that particular press company that drives people to nuts. And not just people; but important, prominent people. In other words, celebrities. There is always a particular newspaper or press company that wrecked havoc in the lives of celebrities.Everyday News was the most popular celebrity gossip newspaper. Every morning, afternoon and night, you would meet at least two or more people, holding a copy of 'Everyday News' paper. Sometimes, the vendors would ridiculously hike their prices, yet, you still see people fighting a
Diane bounced down the stairs, a light grin on her face. Her hair was packed into a ponytail and she wore a blue shirt and a small top. She and Nicholas had chosen Friday night, which was yesterday, to go for their date. And it was awesome. Nicholas was so nice and gentle and all prince-charming. He kept doting on her, asking her what she wanted, what she liked and she enjoyed the way he treated her. He was a perfect gentleman all through. The only problem was that there was someone in the restaurant who really creeped her out. A weird person, whose gender she wasn’t able to figure out. The person had a baseball hat over their head and wore a pair of sunglasses, which was just ridiculous. Diane could see the person taking notes and sometimes even raising up his or her phone in a very suspicious manner. It looked like the person wanted to take pictures. She had wanted to bring it to Nicholas' notice but she concluded that maybe she was just paranoid.Anyway, that
Nicholas, Natasha, Malvika, Jenny and Ashley watched as Diane stormed out of the house and slammed the door angrily behind her. There was a tense silence for a while. Then, Jenny said, “Well, that was one good show,” as she slowly lowered herself to the couch.Nicholas was rooted to a spot, his gaze on the door. He had a hazy and dazed look on his face; his hands were trembling. He couldn’t move. He stood there, staring at the door.Malvika and Natasha exchanged glances. Natasha breathed out. “Malvika, upstairs. Now,” she said under her breath, turning and climbing up the stairs.Malvika frowned but followed her. Together, they left the living room, climbed the stairs and walked into Natasha’s room, closing the door behind them.Natasha folded her arms, standing akimbo, tapping her foot on the ground and staring at Malvika. “You had something to do with this, right?”Malvika raised a brow, feigning in
“What is this bitch doing here?” Jenny growled angrily, whirling around to glare at Jayden who had a panicked look on his face as he darted glances from Diane to Jenny.“I'm sorry, I didn’t know Jayden had a visitor,” Diane said smoothly.“No, no, no,” Jayden cut in. “I don’t have a visitor. She’s just leaving.”“What?!” Jenny exclaimed, an incredulous look on her face.“Come here,” Jayden whispered urgently to her, grabbing her by her elbow and pulling her outside. “Let’s talk,” he said as he opened the door, went outside while still holding Jenny, and shut the door. “I told you to leave.”“I’m not leaving until you tell me what she’s doing here,” Jenny snapped, jerking her hands away from his grip.Jayden ran his hands through his hair in frustration. “Jenny, I think we need to end whatever i
Jenny stormed all the way up the stairs, straight into Ashley’s room. Aggressively, she turned the knob and pushed it open. As she stepped in, she slammed the door close with a loud bang that made Ashley jerk up in fright.“Hey!” Ashley chided. “What’s that?!”“Oh my God!” Jenny growled. “Oh God! I want to kill someone right now! I desperately want to kill someone right now!” She growled angrily.Ashley scrambled back, frightened by Jenny. “What? What happened?”“It’s Diane for fuck sake! Just when I thought I’m done with her forever, she turns around and still causes more problem for me!” Jenny screamed. She flung her hand forward, picked the empty vase on the table and threw it at the door. The vase made a loud noise as it shattered to pieces before it could even touch the floor.“Jenny!” Ashley screamed as she scrambled around on the bed.
