Nick’s POV

“Good morning, Sir.”

“Good morning, Manang.”

“Sir, Ma’am Matilda called. She said it’s Sir Elmer’s birthday. She’s asking if Dylan could visit.”

I froze. For a moment, I was stunned, processing what Manang had just said.

“I see… I’ll call her later. Please take Dylan upstairs, change his clothes, and prepare his food as well.”

“Alright, Sir.”

I went up to my room. Silence.

The kind of silence I once longed for, but now, it feels like punishment.

I bought this beach house four years ago. A decision born out of desperation. I wanted to be as close to Jessica as possible. I left everything behind in the city, the business, the name, everything that once mattered.
