I stood near my office window, watching the children playing at the playground at the back of the castle. The laughter of my mate was contagious as Lauren chased her around, and it brought a smile to my lips as well. They have been playing tug of war for hours now, and they are all drenched in sweat

The moon shines brightly up at the sky, lighting the night. The other kids were so giving to my mate. I'm sure if they wanted, they could catch her instantly, but they lessened their speed too much with the human children, and until now, my mate hasn't noticed it.

I'm so thankful that the vampire children listened to my warning to ensure that Sadie didn't know our kind until she was old enough to understand. And I'm so proud of them for being considerate of my mate

I'm so happy that despite Sadie being human, I can see that they cared for her, and I'm sure they will protect her if ever there's a danger coming her way.
