I had spent the whole night tracking down Valeria’s movement and where she might have been since she left the house, and the things I found out were enough to give me a heart stroke.

She had not travelled home, neither had she gone to stay with any of her annoying friends whom I never liked.

Valeria had spent the past week since the wedding, with Marcos.

She had really been with Marcos all along.

I was wrong about what she could do and not do, and it broke me even more to realize that I really didn’t know anything about her at all.

I could have sworn on a normal day that I knew and trusted her enough to know what she could do and not do.

Now I had to deal with the fact that my ex girlfriend had run off on our wedding to be with my business rival and enemy. The same woman I had made exceptional changes for on the table of lords.

The shame that consumed me each time I thought of the circumstance drove me nuts, but not as much as the feeling of betrayal and heartbreak that followed
