Chapter six

Leo's POV

I groaned and begrudgingly advanced to the bed to carry this stubborn woman. To say she looked good was understatement she was drop dead gorgeous even with the most minimal amount of makeup.

I easily scooped her and my arms and made my way to the door.

"Wait!" she said placing her hand on my chest.

"What!" I groaned annoyed, this was why I left earlier, she is just so commanding and controlling. As it was already, I just could not say no to her.

"I forgot my bag," she whined. I walked back to the bed and picked the bag on the bed.

"I can't take that one, it won't go with my dress." she reasoned.

"Are you serious?" I growled.

"Yes, now take me to my closet I need to get my bag!" she commanded.

Sighing I walked over to the massive closet space, she reached a closet door and opened it, revealing a closet full of hand bags and a tone of white ones.

"Mmmh," she mumbled "Which one..."

"F*ck it!" I murmured grabbing a random purse and stomping out of the room.

"I don't like that one," she complained wiggling in my arms.

Ignoring her I yelled out, "Champ! Let's go!"

"Coming dad," he responded.

How did I feel about this all son thing, it was scary but I wanted it, I wanted to be there for Dylan. The fact that he did not grow up with a father broke my heart I just wanted to be there for him and he also looked so much like me when I was his age. The resemblance was uncanny.

I shook my head as Bella pulled open the front door.

Bella's POV

I was throwing a tantrum and I knew it but I just loved the way I easily irritated and annoyed him. Dylan was in the ice cream parlor as made my way to him with Leo stiffly following behind me.

"Leo!" I whined once again and he groaned, "These crutches are hurting me, can't you just carry me over there."

"I'm not the one who decided to walk on glass I'm I?" he stated opening the door for me.

Glaring at him, I let my inner drama queen out and let go of one of the crutches pretending it was an accident.

Leo mumbled something I could catch before snaking his hand around my waist on the side where I dropped the crutch leading me to the nearest table and I glared at him. I didn't want him to do that, I was just teasing him, now he created a scene.

"Shit!" I heard him say as he retrieved my abandoned crutch and I gave him a quizical look. "Paparazzi," he breathed, giving me a pointed look. My stomach filled with dread, once the paps have pictures of me and Leo out, we will be on every tabloid in the city.

Just then, Dylan came back balancing three ice creams in his hands. "Here you go mom, chocolate mint for you and vanilla for daddy."

"Thanks champ," Leo said ruffling his hair with his free hand.

I smiled at my son and busied myself with my ice cream. At that moment I started to think about everything. My life changed drastically in a span of one night but I was not going to let it affect me. I am Bella Blanca Parker Perez and I will no longer be controlled by my father, but I did not know how.

Maybe marrying Leo could be my escape.

No, not an option. My mind snapped at me

I can not marry someone I don't love.

I loved him, he left and it was all my fault.

Why me? If didn't run away that time then my father would have at least have an ounce of respect for me. He wouldn't own me like he does. I could have been my father's daughter, he could have loved me.

Stop it Bella! I mentally slapped my self. Remember he has always been like this: controlling, abusive... Dylan was not a mistake, he was a blessing that gave you your sanity back.

His father... my mind trailed off, not wanting to recollect painful memories. My mental health was too precious to risk another breakdown

Scott is Dylan's father and no one else is. I finalized in my mind, stopping any impending mental battle.

I came out of my reverie as Leo snapped his fingers infront of my face.

"Huh?" I gasped.

"We're getting late." Leo stated.

"Oh," was all I could get myself to say, "Lets go then,"

"Mom your ice cream, it's all melted," Dylan stated pointed at the drenched cone in my hands.

I frowned and stared at the ice cream in my hands, the entire top was gone. I raised my eyebrow and looked at Dylan who was giggling.

"Dad...ate...the...top...off!" he managed to say in between laughs and I glared at Leo.

"Could have wasted good ice cream." he shrugged.

Leo's POV

We stopped at a parlor near the venue, I parked the car and instructed Dylan to get some for himself but Bella wanted one as well.

"You can't walk Bella," I said with a pointed look.

"You can carry me." she stated.

"I can but..." I started saying as I rubbed my temple. It was fifteen after one thirty, we were getting late.

"Dad, are we going to go or..." Dylan interrupted my train of thoughts.

I sighed and looked at Bella's unbandaged feet in heels and frowned at the sight. I agree I forgot to dress her wounds but she should have told me and I'd gladly do it. And the heels, this woman!

"You are seriously wearing heels." I stated and she looked down just like s child caught stealing sweets. Cute...No Leo she's arrogant just like the rest. "Remove them." I ordered glaring at her.

"No," she insisted pouting she looked up at me with adorable puppy eyes. Pleading.

"You have to remove them Bella or I will." I warned staring right into her eyes with a hard look.

"I am not removing these, the go perfect with this dress. I can't walk bare footed." she stated crossing their arms.

"Dad...mom..." Dylan whined, "Its just ice cream."

"You go in champ and order for us, get me a vanilla and I sure you know your mom's favorite ice cream. I'm right behind you ." I instructed the little boy and literally skipped out of the car. "You are staying here, wait for us until we return."

She rolled her eyes and opened her door to get out. I swore beneath my breath at her stubbornness and rushed over to the trunk to get the crutches I'd gotten for her earlier.

She was balancing herself between the car and her door.

"You don't have to go," I voiced out holding the crutches with one hand blockish her way. "Why can't you just eat your ice cream from here."

She quickly snatched one of her crutches and pushed me slightly. Once I was out of the way, she started hopping on one crutch. This woman!

When she almost fell, I handed her the other one, walking behind her so that if she falls I would easy catch her.

After a few minutes she started whining, "Leo... please carry me, see I made it halfway through..." she pouted looking at me.

"No." I said my hands lingering at the small of her back.

"But--" she started but I cut her.

"No buts, you wanted to go right, then do it, I'm honestly tired of this." I said truthfully.

"Leo..." she dragged feigning hurt and I just groaned and she slowly approached the parlor.

A young couple passed in front of us, once they recognized Bella, the girl started to take photos of us. I glared at her but she didn't notice, the boyfriend pulled her away from us after noticing the hard glare but Bella did not notice she kept on pleading with me to carry her, I just groaned opening the door for her.

"I'm I the one who decided to walk on glass?" I voiced out.

"And whose fault was that?" she said glaring at me.

Your psychotic mind, I mumbled beneath my breath, just then she decided to drop one of her crutches, she tried to make it look like an accident but failed miserably.

She's going to be the death of me, mumbled before adding a string of curse words to the statement. I hurried over to her and supported her falling figure by putting my hand around her waist leading her to the nearest table.

I ignore how right it felt to place my hand around her waist or how she seemed to fit perfectly in my arms every time I carry her. I went to pick up the fallen crutch and made my way back to her.

"Shit," I mumbled as I spotted paparazzi taking pictures of us, I guessed the girl must have informed them, who else? When Bella shot me a questioning look, I breathed out "paparazzi."

She didn't respond or anything, she gave me a small shrug and focused on Dylan who was balancing three ice creams in his hands. I guessed she was used to the attention, besides she was an ex model after all.

Dylan said something before handing us the ice cream. "Thanks, champ." I said ruffling his hair, Bella just smiled at him and busied herself with her mint chocolate ice cream.

I took out my phone while staring at Bella who suddenly stopped eating her ice cream. I called Armando and asked him to bring me some bandages and comfortable women shoes.

I made small conversation with Dylan who was so excited to share everything about himself to me. I looked at Bella and her melting ice cream slipping down her arm.

Absentmindedly I leaned to her side and ate the entire top off but she did not even realize it and Dylan burst into a fit of giggles. It was then that I realized how oblivious she was to her surroundings. Shaking my head I snapped my fingers info of her face drawing her attention.
