Chapter 6: Son Teaches Me About Smartphones

After leaving her room, Evelyn instantly regretted it.

The mansion was a labyrinth of similar-looking rooms, with occasional glimpses of elegant little nooks furnished with quaint tables and sofas. She felt as if she had wandered into a maze.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, she found the stairs and hurried to the third floor.

It was only then that she realized she had no clue which room Quentin was in.

She should have asked that Susan lady earlier, or perhaps sought out the bowtie-wearing butler again.

After aimlessly wandering for a while, feeling increasingly dizzy, she clutched her head and sighed, deciding that her primary goal now was to find her way back to her own room.

But just then, a door opened beside her.

Dressed in a relaxed blue shirt and simple silk trousers, he looked less intimidating than he had during the day.
