Chapter Twenty-five

Vieira and the healer were standing at the door. They had both instructed every guard that was around to leave with immediate effect. And they did obey. It was their long time wish already. After hearing what happened at the former chamber of the alpha king, a great deal of fear swept them off their feet. If it were within their power, they would have left long ago already. But no. They were guards whose station was the alpha King's chamber. It was a thing of honor to guard such an esteemed place. Trust, bravery and strength were key factors. If not, they would not have been considered to be worthy of such honor. Right now, not even an ant was around the alpha king's chamber. They had all departed to a place of safety outside the chamber. No one wanted to be on the wrong side of fate. But Vieira and the healer were both willing to take that risk .
