The day of the event had finally come and it did not feel shy less of what it was expected of it. The tension in the atmosphere of both the red moon pack añd the dead valley pack was beyond that high above normal. The days was a big day. Ruckus stood in his room with hands clasped behind his back. His thoughts never stopped reeling and wondering about how the day would finally end. Whether it was going to end the way he had the way he had thought it or against him, there was no way of knowing. Badmus had given him the idea of what to do. That was all he needed. No matter how much he now hated Badmus, he still knew what relevance the presence of Badmus meant by his side. The man was always the bug game planner behind him. After using the art of killing the little children which he knew that Badmus was not going to turn a blind eye on, Badmus had given him the perfect idea on what he needed to get down the supposed all powerful and vicious alpha king f the dead valley pack who happened
The event to celebrate the crowning of a new alpha in the red moon pack was specially organized and hosted by Ruckus in the grandest hall that there was in the pack. The hall was specially built and constructed to suit the high taste of whatever was to be held in it. No ordinary events are held there. In fact, even the birthday of an alpha was not worth being celebrated in such an ecstatic place. It was majorly reserved for any sort of meeting that would involve the rest of the packs. The hall was actually constructed for this reason. A couple of yeare back, one of the most decisive conclaves was fixed in the red moon pack. By virtue of that, the alpha in charge had begun the construction of the beautiful work of art. That alpha had to be no.other person than the uncle of Ruckus who happened to be the father of Sophia. Ruckus had purposely selected the hall for this event so tht he would be able to arouse sleeping memories in the lives of both alpha king Derek and his supposed Luna, S
Days had turned to months. Time flied past like the breath Sophia released from her body. She had accomplished exactly what she promised her parents. Uproot the weed. She did it. It was the monthly remembrance of her mother's death . Clutching a flower in her hands , she walked gently with Derek towards the tomb in red moon pack. The spot where her father would have been laid to rest was now occupied by her mother's remains. They strode into the old structure and dropped the flower. " I am here again." Sge smiled. " We are here. " Derek held her hand tightly. " We will make her no weeds arise again. " When they left the tomb , they headed straight to the sea valley pack. Both packs were now ruled by Derek and Sophia. They got to the former chamber of the alpha king. For a good while, Derek had been practicing to control his shift. He always failed but was willing to try again. " Are you sure you want to try again?" Sophia asked. Derek nodded. They strode to the chamber. Derek
Sophia found herself drooling in the coziness of a properly humidified limousine. The touch of ecstacy and luxury was all over the place. Was this real? She thought to herself. Of course, it was. " Would you need something to moisten your throat?" A pretty looking lady who knelt before her asked , barely raising her head to match her gaze. " Just a glass of wine will suffice." Sophia replied, leaning back on the limousine's cushion with both hands locked against her abdominal region. " Uhm. I guess the weather here is becoming a little bit cold. Quite chilly for my comfort. Get me something hot. Is there a hot drink with us?"" Yes. " The lady replied, still not looking up. " There are different brands of liquor here. Which would you prefer to take?"" Do not ask silly questions. " She crossed her legs. " You know my taste. Be quick about it. " Her lips dissolved in a smile. This was really happening. But for some odd reason she could not place, she could not feel more relaxed. It
2 A couple of moments had passed. Sophia felt her whole body burn. Seated in her new abode, she wondered if the attic would have been a better option than her grandparents' house. She was an outcast to everyone including her own family. She never stopped wondering the reason behind the I'll treatment. Perhaps, if her parents were alive, none of this would be happening. She put off the worn out vest and carefully wiped her body with a wet piece of cloth. " Mmm. " Her teeth gnashed in pain . At eighteen years of age, she had been subjected to the worst kind of psychological traumas that her healing ability was slowly leaving her. Bullied by every member of the pack and greatly despised by the only family she knew left her struggling to maintain her breath with every moment that passes by her . Soon, she was done cleaning the stains . Time was not on her side. Slipping out a t-shirt from her box, she walked to the mirror to take a look at her rugged body. But while examining her body,
3The rite was already coming to an end when Sophia arrived and scanned the whole place. The moon goddess seemed to be presiding over the last pairing. Strangely, the alpha was nowhere to be found. Where would he be on a special day like this? Sophia thought. Ruckus stood beside her, smiling from ear to ear . His pride was taking a better part of him. Definitely, his mate would be someone very classy. Jael was in the front row, feeling herself. Everyone around her kept on cheering her, trying eagerly to get on her good side. It was only a matter of time before she was called up by the moon goddess. But minutes slowly went by and the moon goddess was yet to do the needful. Something was wrong. Jael tried to call the attention of the moon goddess. Probably, she was not visible enough to be spotted. Just at the right time, the moon goddess raised her index finger and pointed it in her direction. A loud cheer erupted from the people who kept on cheering her. Ruckus was proud. Jael was a p
The morning sun was slowly making its way into the sky. But the day was not yet fully blown out. Every pack member was still in the comforts of their bed chambers. On a normal note, no noise would be coming from any part of the pack unless the abused Omega was doing her labored morning duties. But it was different this morning. The atmosphere around the whole pack was still yet dry and intense. Sophia was nowhere around the pack . So, the duties were still as they were. Ruckus' men paced through the environment with their eyes darting from corner to corner. They had not been able to get the tiniest amount of sleep through the night. All the shifts were active. After the little drama of the previous night, Ruckus wanted to make sure that there was no reason to be worried at the moment. Two guards walked into Sophia's attic and turned it upside down in search of the tiniest clue of what she might have planned before time. " Totally clean!" One said , sniffing through the rags that were
Hours had passed through the night. And now, it was morning. The brightness of the day shimmered through the tiny holes that served as an air aperture into the dark prison cell that Sophia found herself. She lay unconscious in the thick darkness of the cell. A box-like space with a very high roof . No windows at all. The only trace of light came from the tiny holes that were far away on the roof of the cell. The last thing Sophia could remember happened the previous night was the sight of a hungry haunting quarry. Flashes of the previous night began to make their way to her thoughts. " Run, Sophia…. Run. " Her lips kept on moving as she urged herself to run. Her reality was still with the night. All she could see was her poor self running for her dear life through the woods and thick forest. The thorns tore and took bits of her soles. But she did not mind. Pushing herself to survival was more important than yielding to rest. " Run, Sophia. You can do this. " Her numb body kept on
