I have the blanket pulled up to my chin and I’m shivering because it’s a little cold in the house and am feeling slightly under the weather. Mother comes over to me and kisses me on the forehead.

“You’re a little warm, make sure you get some rest and I will call to check on you during break.” She talks to me as if it’s me and her in the room.

“I will.” I whisper to her, feeling my eyes growing tired.
