Lewis picked up his coat and glanced at Sierra. "Anything else?"

Sierra pouted, looking at him with a hint of frustration. "Can't you stay?"

"No," he answered firmly and added, "not tonight."

Sierra gritted her teeth in annoyance. Knowing that he would not change his mind, she released her grip on Lewis with a huff.

"Forget it; go ahead and leave."

She had stayed up late to keep him company because she thought that he wouldn't leave at this hour.

Who knew that she was just deluding herself?

Sierra realized that Lewis had the ability to make her experience a rollercoaster of emotions in the span of a few seconds.
