Dante~

She was asleep.

Barely.

I could tell by the way her body trembled slightly, her breathing shallow, like she didn't trust herself to relax...even in my bed.

Our bed.

Her back was turned to me, the sheets pulled up to her shoulder. Hiding herself. Probably trying to piece together what had just happened.

But I wasn't confused.

No. I was clear.

Crystal fucking clear.

She was mine.

No matter how many times she ran, no matter who she ran to, I would always bring her back.

Because Isla wasn’t just some bargaining chip. She wasn’t just a wife I married for revenge or leverage.

At least, not anymore.

She was a fucking addiction.

And it pissed me off as much as it excited me.

I never imagined that ravaging her would feel that good.

My jaw clenched as I sat up, dragging a hand through my hair. Every muscle in my body ached from the way I took her. Hard, unrelenting, punishing. She didn’t fight me. Not once.

But that didn't mean she wanted it.

She said she'd do anything.

I gave her a choi

  • What The Don Wants   The plan

Isla~I heard him.His heavy footsteps stopping right in front of my door. I heard. His heavy breathing as he stood there, not knowing what to say.I heard him call out my name, his voice barely above a whisper. He was leaving. Without me.And although it tugged painfully at some strings in my heart, I decided to remain silent.I had told him already, that unless Katya is brought back, I wasn't going to follow him anywhere. It wasn't like I needed to be in Sicily anyway. The only reason he was probably trying to take me along was because he wanted to "protect" me. I knew how obsessed he was with keeping me by his side. And I wasn't going to give him the satisfaction this time.Peeking out my window, I watched him approach the fleet of cars that awaited him.Clad in a black, custom tailored suit, he looked as dashing as always. I almost regretted my decision to ignore him. Almost.Just as he opened the door to get into the car, he paused. He paused as if sensing my eyes on him.And he

  • What The Don Wants   Departure

Dante~"Until then, I'm not going with you on your little trip to Sicily."I took in a deep breath as I stood by my window, staring into space. Those words replayed in my head like a broken record. I guess she really meant what she said. This time, she was ready to fight me for as long as she deemed necessary.Because it's been three days and I haven't still been able to contact Katya. I've never had to contact her whenever she went on previous missions. She always checked in. She always returned. So it was impossible to reach her as usual. But this time felt different.Still, I couldn't let that stop my journey. Today was the day I leave for Sicily.I wasn't just running away from the chaos here, I was heading into a different storm. One that might finally give me answers. To unravel the mystery behind this chip implanted in me.My hand slowly lifted to touch the spot on my chest. Right there. That's where my father had implanted the device. And all these years I've lived in ignoranc

  • What The Don Wants   Seeing things

Isla~"You what?" I shrieked suddenly, jumping out of the bed.Away from Dante. But he remained calm, a stoic expression on his face.We had made passionate and reckless love the whole night and I was waking up to this news from him. It made me feel stupid.Of course I should have known he was up to no good when I saw Katya at his study the other day. I should have pressed him harder for answers right then and there.Instead, I was busy moaning in his bed, while he sent Katya off to God-knows-where. Dammit! I felt like a terrible person already."How could you, Dante?"He rolled his eyes slightly, sitting up and letting the sheets fall from his waist."You're overreacting," he said plainly, the same way someone might swat at a fly buzzing near their head.I felt heat rush to my face, this time not from arousal. But rage."Overreacting?" I barked, and before I could stop myself, I lunged forward at him, fists clenched and mind screaming."You son of a..." I struck his bare chest with

  • What The Don Wants   Get even

Dante~I was glad for the damn meeting to finally be over. And no, it wasn't because I wanted to retire to bed.Isla.I could still smell her, taste her on my fingertips. The same fingers I had slid into her warm wetness. She tried desperately to hold back her moans, to appear unaffected by my action. She failed. And in all honesty, I was also as affected as she was. The ongoing conversation had just proved a useful tool to distract myself.Otherwise, I would have folded easily.Taking one last sip from my glass of wine, I looked up at the window of her room on the first floor. The lights were out.Perhaps she was already asleep, exhausted from today's activities. I almost felt bad for dragging her down for tonight's meeting. Almost.A sigh left my lips, and I finally turned to head inside. I signaled to one of my men at the gate, giving him a slight nod. A silent order to keep an eye out. Just in case.I entered the house, my footsteps unusually light and almost inaudible. The hallwa

  • What The Don Wants   Tease

Isla~Only three men remained. Vargo and two other men. But Dante didn't seem to be bothered. He had found his real family. The one willing to stick with him through thick or thin.He willingly let the others go. They were of no use.Dante's hand found mine under the table, but he kept his head up straight, like he wasn't doing anything.I couldn't help the heat that rushed to my face at such simple gesture. I might have even forgotten to breathe in that moment. He squeezed lightly and I squeezed back, looking at him as he engaged in a serious conversation with the men at the table.Suddenly, a devious idea struck me, making a wicked smile stretch my lips.I lifted up one of my legs, placing it over his thighs. He visibly stiffened, but made no move to remove my leg. He didn't turn to look at me either. He was just going to act like nothing was going on. Like my actions weren't having the slightest effect on him.Let's see how long he could keep up with that."And Mrs Moretti?" I wa

  • What The Don Wants   Like a Boss

Isla~"Gentlemen!" Dante's voice echoed across the table, commanding attention immediately.I could count all the people in attendance and they were only about ten in numbers; eight men and just two women. This was the family Dante had picked for himself over the years, this was his inner circle. The people he had claimed to trust. But even I could see, his guarded expression even in their midst. You don't stay on guard around family. At least, that's what I've been brought up to believe.Dante didn't trust these people. Not all of them."Allow me to propose a toast." He added, lifting up his glass of wine.My eyes darted toward Vargo, who was also seated at a far end of the table. He bowed slightly at me, showing respect.I smiled. They all raised up their glasses and I followed suit."A toast to the newest member of this circle."My eyes widened. And I stomped on Dante's feet under the table. Hard. But he still continued, like he hadn't felt a thing."My beautiful wife, a total spit
