24 - One Last Wedding Present
"Hello, darling! Welcome back. How was the trip? Did you enjoy it, at least?" Mama enveloped me in a hug as soon as Eugene and I walked through the door. After spending two weeks in Sharm El-Sheikh, we had returned home. Needless to say, Eugene spoiled me rotten the entire time. He made sure I felt happy all the time.
Giggling, I returned Mama's embrace. "Bonjour, Mama. It's good to be back. I enjoyed the trip very much. It was relaxing."
Mama parted from our embrace and cupped my cheek. "I wouldn't have expected it to be any other way."
I smiled at Mama, and her eyes wandered to Eugene next to me. Hello guys! I'm so sorry for the long wait, but I got my keyboard fixed and now everything is running smoothly. I hope you all enjoy reading the rest of the story further!
