The earth beneath her feet was damp with the remnants of the night’s rainfall. Moss and dirt sticking to the underneath of her feet as she walked the dense forest that surrounded her. Fog clung to the ground and tickled her bare legs as she walked.She had no destination in mind and instead took solace in the peace that the forest brought to her. She often wondered on her own, she preferred to be a lone wolf.She let her fingertips brush over the leaves of bushes and the bark of the surrounding trees as she continued walking. It wasn’t long before the forest began to melt away and she found herself on her usual cliffside, overlooking the vast lake within their territory. The morning air felt heavy against her lungs, frost hung from each leaf and stem of grass as the first signs of winter began to show. She was once again at her lookout spot, high in the hills with the perfect view of each part of the territory.
