The drive was long, the driver didn’t say a word to Halle in those three hours that they drove, instead, he kept his focused eyes on the road and didn’t spare her another glance.

Maybe both, Halle thought to herself. She spent the rest of the ride looking out the window, awed by the places they had passed and realizing just how little of the country she’s seen in the past three years she’s been here.

There was almost no chance to do anything else though, with her crazy shifts and classes during the day time, the only days Halle knew she didn’t do anything were on Sundays and then she’d be too tired and lazy to go anywhere so she’ll spend her entire day on her bed.
