Darius’s Game

Serena’s POV

“Wake up, little wolf.”

The voice rang into my ears before my eyes even fluttered open. My wrists ached so badly, burning with a pain so sharp I couldn't control. When I moved, the clinking of chains echoed in the dark chamber, cold metal cutting into my skin. It was a wolfsbane. Its sting laced every breath I took.

I forced my eyes open. The room was dim, torches burning low against the stone walls. And standing before me, very tall, broad shouldered, his shadow stretching longer than the flame, was no other but Darius.

My throat tightened. “You.”

He smirked, the corner of his lips curling like a predator toying with prey. “Did you miss me, Serena?”

“Cut the theatrics,” I spat, tugging against the chains. The metal burned hotter. “What do you want? My life?”

His laugh was dark, low, and infuriatingly amused. “Your life? No, no, little wolf. Killing you would be a waste. I’m after something far more… valuable.” He stepped closer, his boots clicking against t

The Shadows That RoseSerena's POVA figure stepped forward from the Cult’s ranks, a man tall, gaunt, face hidden behind a featureless mask. The air around him glowed with violet haze, magic stretching taut like a drawn bow.I stepped forward too. “We come not as trespassers, but as rightful heirs.” He laughed. It echoed across the valley, throbbing. “So, the bond is claimed. The prophecy awakened. But do you think that makes you safe?” He raised a hand. Shadows peeled from his robe and curled across the ground. The Cult’s hooded brethren spread, forming a ring, closing us in.Azelia flinched. The bond pulsed between us. Power hummed. I drew strength from it.“Be ready,” I whispered. Kale’s blade came free. Bianca’s aura flared. Azelia’s eyes glowed violet. The masked leader nodded as though opening a door. The Cult advanced, chanting now with purpose. Magic coalesced into blades, spears, swirling black wind. And then the clash began.“Battle under Moonlight”We stood at the

RISE OF THE THIRD LUNA Serena’s POVThe forest trembled. The wind shifted. The moon hid behind clouds as if in fear. I stared at the space where the dark-cloaked man had stood. Now there was only emptiness and the echo of his words. “The third is awake.”My heart pounded with dread and something else determination. My sister’s hand tightened around mine. Kale and Bianca flanked us, ready. “Where is she?” I hissed. “Where is this third?” The ruins behind us pulsed. The seal we had just reactivated glowed, faint lines of energy drifting outward like threads in dark air. The night stretched. And then a distant howl. Not a wolf. Deep. Echoing. Somewhere behind the hills that ring the forest. “She calls us,” my sister whispered. Her voice shook. “She wants us.” I swallowed. “Then we go to her.” A soft rustle among the trees. Shadows separated. The cloaked man’s silhouette reappeared on a ridge. He raised his hand. “Follow me, children of the bond,” he said, his voice r

THE DAWN OF BLOOD & TRUTH Serena’s POVI stood taller. “Or I’ve just begun.” And for the first time, she looked… uncertain. The moonlight trembled across her face, casting shifting shadows that betrayed more than her stoic mask. Her eyes flickered with something conflict, maybe something I never thought I’d see. The hunters behind her froze too, as though they sensed the shift in balance.I felt the power in me humming, raw and alive. The mark on my chest burned white-hot, pushing outward as though it wanted space to breathe. I inhaled deeply, letting the magic flow through me rather than fight it.Kale’s presence was steady beside me. Beyoncé hovered with her own tension, ready. I glanced at them in the moonlit haze.“You think you know me,” the twisted image of Mom said, voice low and echoing. “But what you carry is more than you dream.”I drew a line between us with my stare, refusing to back down. “Then show me,” I said. “Show me what I carry. If you’re tied to me, then tell

THE MOTHER WHO WASN’T MINESerena’s POVI didn’t move. None of us did. Her eyes swept over me first. Then Kale. Then Beyonce. But there was no warmth. No recognition. Just calm… like we were strangers at her door. “I thought you were dead,” I said. She smiled. Not the way I remembered. “I was.” The wind picked up behind her. Her hair moved like it was part of the shadows now. Kale stepped closer to me. His body shifted slightly, protective. Beyoncé didn’t blink. “You left me,” I said. “No,” she answered. “I saved you.” “By hiding everything from me?” She walked forward. Her hands were empty, but her presence was heavy. “You were never meant to carry all of this. You were supposed to be the future not the past.” Beyonce laughed low. “Funny. That’s exactly what you told me before you gave me to the shadows.” Our mother….Elira…..finally looked at her. “You were the consequence of a choice made in fear.” “And Serena?” Beyoncé asked. “The price of hope,”

THE ONES WHO HUNT BLOODSerena’s POVI ran like the fire behind me was alive. Maybe it was. Kale was right behind me, silent, focused. He didn’t ask if I was sure. He didn’t try to stop me. He just ran with me, not ahead of me. That was something I never noticed before. “She’s close,” I said, breathing short. “She won’t run,” Kael said. “Not from this.” The smoke grew thicker. I pulled my shirt over my nose. The trees were already glowing at their edges, the scent of magic clinging to the air. But this wasn’t witch work. This was something else. We reached the clearing from before. She was there. Standing, calm, like the fire hadn’t come for her. “You led them,” Beyoncé said without turning. “No,” I said. “They followed you.” She glanced over her shoulder. “They always do.” Kale drew his blade. “Who are they?” Her mouth pressed into a hard line. “Hunters. Not of wolves. Of bloodlines. Of us.” I stepped forward. “Why? What do they want?” She looked at me the

THE FACE THAT LIED TO MESerena's POVIf Beyoncé wore my mother's face... what else of my past had she stolen? And what had my mother hidden from me, so deep and dark she couldn’t say it out loud even to her own daughter?I couldn’t stop watching it. That moment she looked at me and smiled at my mother's smile, twisted on someone else’s mouth. My chest felt like it was trying to remember something my brain had locked away.“Where did she go?” I whispered. The forest didn’t answer. The trees just stood, tall and still, like guards holding back secrets.I turned in a slow circle, scanning every path. Beyonce hadn’t taken the box with her. That was on purpose. She wanted me to see it. But why?The papers in the box said we were twins, but no one had ever spoken her name. Not even once. Not even when I asked about my family. Every story stopped at me.Every smile my mother gave me had come with silence. She didn’t forget to tell me. She chose not to.I sat on a fallen log with the box in m
