Chapter 3 Love At First Sight

Chapter 3

Love At First Sight

"Sure you want to listen to my story?" he asked unsure

"Till you don't mind sharing" Rosie replied as he was uncomfortable and fiddling with hands. She was seeing a nervous man for the first time.

Otherwise she had only seen men in hollow darkness where she could only visualize the pitch dark sexual desires that vanishes in one night and they do prefer to leave before the sunshine as if brightness would erase their immoral deeds.

She wondered if they even considered it immoral.

For few it would be as casual and recreating as taking few shots of alcohol before going to bed.

He said in a surprisingly humble tone, "Excuse me for a while" and went to the washroom.

What a thorough gentleman he is. She thought

He was even completely dressed up before she woke her.

She would have actually enjoyed his masculine abs tense in anger. Not that she was a perverted kind of whore but this man was special.

He seemed to get her attention in a special way like there was nothing wrong with it.

And also strangely she felt safe.

She couldn't decipher why but she felt safe in his presence.

It felt like home when her parents and her sibling lived happily as life was flawless then.

"Are you sure you want to listen to my" he asked unsure.

She did not realize he was back

"Absolutely. Till you don't mind sharing your life with a prostitute." she answered avoiding eye contact.

He simply shrugged.

"So where do I start with?"

"Whichever memories you can begin with a smile." she replied hugging the small black cushion placed on the cream couch that she was sleeping on.

She had some premonitions that it was really going to be an interesting night.

After a long long time...

Edwin's love story [flashback]

"Right then I start with the day actually night. The prom night of our final year of schooling when I saw her, no noticed her for the first time.

She was working for the selection of prom king and queen collecting others views on some piles of paper. She approached me for my name as a nominee for the Prom king and few details. I was busy flirting when she tapped on my back.

"Excuse me" she said but I did not listen but as I turned around to check who's tapping me then there was a misjudgment or lack of space that I hit her and she tripped.

I tried to balance her lifting her from her elbows.

It was then! It was right then when I smelled her. Yes I inhaled her beauty for the first time. She smelt like strawberries.

Her bare skin as she was wearing some sleeveless dress was soft like feather and smooth like satin.

Then slowly as she stood I could see her rounded, perfect boobs beautifully enveloped by the sequinned blue corset followed by a flowing material that she was wearing. I was not perverted but was actually carried away and when I saw her face, her flawless skin, pouted lips with peach lip-gloss.

Her ocean blue eyes drowned me into them and I got lost, lost in the waves of feelings, I couldn't name it then.

Her cheeks were blushed pink and as she shook her head talking to me. I was muted. I could not hear a single word. Her bouncing locks of blond were the only things that I could focus on. I was trapped.

I was in lo...

I know silly and yes I denied it completely.

She realized that I was not listening to her. She felt it was due to the loud music. She held my wrists tightly bringing sparks all over my body. This was first time ever I felt like this. She took me to a distance and then spoke to me.

Though it was difficult to focus on anything but I obediently answered all that she wanted to know and before I could say anything. "Thanks I am Stella. Have a great time" and she left.

It was after that I came off my transition with only one aim in mind 'to look for her'

The mesmerizing face was not a complete stranger. I knew her or I felt that I knew her. The room was full of hotties and sexy babes but my eyes were looking for that pretty face that had taken my breath away.

Is she some event organizer?

No she's too young for that. She is one of our schoolmates then why haven't I noticed her earlier. I was lost in my own reverie when I heard someone announcing from the stage.

The music stopped and I could hear "The Prom king is Edwin Parker".

I felt myself flying. I was actually lifted by the crowd who led me to the stage lifting me on the air.

I was a popular boy and their favourite basket ball player so I had lot of fans.

It was after I landed on the stage I saw those magical blue eyes again. I watched her closely and intently then trying to figure out why she looked so familiar. I was crowned with a floral crown, pinned a broach and prom queen was declared.

All I could do was stare at the dame whom I had been searching everywhere around.

"Ohh my gosh! She's same Stella, our Berry, my ex neighbour who always wore thick black framed glasses landed on the tip of her nose, wore a floral dress always and held two ponies. She was in grade 5 when we were together in the same class.

We had never been friends but during our family cultural meets that we formally greeted each other 7 years back. It was after that my dad did great in business and we shifted to our new big home that we lost contact

Later I joined school's basketball team and became famous and then she became a no one. Not that she was a nerd but she was good in her own world which was far away from mine.

What a fool I was. I missed my years when I could have been with her, befriended her and if possible I would have even proposed her. Now when I got her there are negligible chances of meeting her again as the school was over and the universities we choose there's hardly any probability of us being in the same one. I lost her before I had her.

"Now let the king and queen have their official dance" was announced on the stage to which Lucy came to me offering her hand to dance with me. I couldn't be rude and danced a few moves but my focus my heart and soul were rested on the girl with blue eyes, Berry.

I was missing those ocean eyes so badly and wanted to know about her, wanted to have her number so I quickly excused from Lucy and rushed to Stella on stage.

"Can I have a dance with you lady?" I offered her my hand.

Her friends pushed her and forced her to accept the dance proposal. She hesitatingly gave me her hand that was so soft, so perfect that it felt as if mine were stencils that could only fit her hands.

I swayed her with the beats of the music to the dance floor. She was slightly shorter than me but with the pencil, silver stilettos she was wearing she stood straight with our faces meeting each other.

She took her steps so cautiously. She looked so innocent and when she lifted her chin making our eyes meet, I felt I was floating in the ocean of her blues. I forgot everything for the moment,

where I was? What was I supposed to do?

For I had framed series of words to be uttered to her but I was completely dumbstruck. I could not speak now. I was lost.

Was she some sort of magician or a hypnotist?

She too remained mum, not uttering a word simply gazing into my eyes."

"Love at first sight" Rosie blurted out.

"Love at first sight? He repeated mockingly but then had a changed expression on his face.

"Yes it was love at first sight"
