The head of security played the surveillance footage before the reporters and the cameras. It showed a man in black running along the path behind the memorial hall.

"We're searching for the culprit and should find him soon," Evan said. "Rest assured that the outcome of this will be announced later. We would like to thank the reporters and the online community for your concern."

The reporters were asked to leave once the debacle was over.

Beverly sat in the memorial hall, mourning for Elaine while folding some paper cranes. Evan had already left after instructing the bodyguards to watch over her.

Just then, her phone rang. It was a call from Cindy, which she answered.

"It was so exciting today, Beverly. I think that was the first time Evan and I had so much fun with each other. Honestly, I can't believe he ravished me in front of your mother's face when we've only been apart for a few days.
