Chapter 5

Next Morning  before day break Shen Xinyi set off towards the administrator office the administrator of Dong Lie nunnery was an old lady by the name Lady Zhao .Lady Zhao was of commoner's origin but she was really smart in scheming and sucking up to the right peoples thus she quickly rose up to administrator post.

Originally only women of imperial family were allowed to be called by the 'Lady' title but Dong Lie nunnery was secluded off and the rules of the capital weren't carried on in it therefore Lady Zhao was able to carry on with her rampant.

When Shen Xinyi entered the office Lady Zhao was sitting behind her desk when Lady Zhao saw Shen Xinyi there was no questioning in her eyes nor did she felt surprise it was as if she was waiting for her. 

Shen Xinyi's lips curled in disdain in her past life she was too focused in her own problems thus didn't even paid the slightest attention to the abnormality of Lady Zhao. 

"Oh my Young lady Shen ! what do I did to owe this favour ?" said Lady Zhao her voice simpering 

"One wants to send a letter to One's elder brother Shen Qi will Lady Zhao help this one to send this letter without any problems?" 

Stuffing the letter along with two golden taels towards Lady Zhao, Shen Xinyi asked .

Only at the look of those two golden taels Lady Zhao finally revealed a look of surprise. 

"...This?" 

"One's know that Lady Zhao is old and even as the acting administrator Lady Zhao is not able to give her own  grandchild a comfortable life ! One felt that this is too shameful for Lady Zhao is nothing but loyal thus One decided to help Lady Zhao " 

Her voice wasn't forceful nor was it aggressive but Shen Xinyi was clearly telling Lady Zhao that she wanted to buy her loyalty and if she were to follow Shen Xinyi,  Lady Zhao will have a lot more advantages than she had with Shen Ping. 

Lady Zhao looked at the letter and the two golden taels and felt her heart wavering in the past when She helped Shen Ping in taking care of Shen Xinyi all he gave were three silver taels ,these two golden taels however surpassed those three silver taels by a long shot!

Thus lady Zhao made her decision .

"Young Lady Shen doesn't need to worry This lowly one understand this letter will definitely reach Elder young master Shen " taking the letter and the two golden taels Lady Zhao assured Shen Xinyi. 

By the time Shen Xinyi exited the administrator office night's inky blankness had diluted and the sun was rising 

Dong Lie nunnery had rules and according to these rules each young lady who was sent here had various duties for alternative days given Shen Xinyi completed her duty yesterday she had today off .

Feeling relaxed and contented Shen Xinyi strode off to the mess hall .

It was only 6 in the morning but the mess hall was already  filled with peoples. Shen Xinyi picked a bowl and filled with rice gruel, Shen Xinyi snorted truth be told she didn't wanted to eat such a bland thing but if she stopped eating completely others will definitely get suspicious thus Shen Xinyi had no other choice but to suppress her disgust and eat it .

Taking a place at one of the last benches making her presence as small as possible Shen Xinyi picked her spoon and began eating.

"Elder Sister" 

Shen Xinyi looked up ,in front of her stood a frail and pale looking girl around the age of ten. Her eyes were sunken and she looked wispy frail . When Shen Xinyi saw her a sudden pain flashed through heart it was none other than her younger half sister Shen Miao from her father's third concubine An Shu .

"what happened to you why do you look so pale?" noticing the dark circles under her eyes ShenXinyi couldn't help but ask 

    

Shen Miao was sent to DongLie nunnery a week later  Shen Xinyi arrived . Shen Miao didn't  tell Shen Xinyi the reason why she was sent but Shen Xinyi knew that she too was made a scapegoat just like her for Shen Yu . Unlike Shen Yu both ShenXinyi and Shen Miao excelled in the four scholarly arts thus Shen Yu shine was hidden behind their talents and for this reason Shen Ping sent both Shen Xinyi and Shen Miao to Dong Lie nunnery to make sure that Shen Yu's reputation surpass Shen Xinyi and Shen Miao's .

"I-that-" after mumbling for a few seconds Shen Miao went silent and her bowed her hand down. 

Shen Xinyi sighed none of the Shen children were given a healthy enviorment to grow up either they were too submissive or they were too scheming.

Holding Shen Miao's hand Shen Xinyi set off to the table which was jubilant with laughter. 

When those girls saw Shen Xinyi coming towards them they went silent but none feared her afterall Shen Xinyi was another Shen Miao to easy to bully .

"Su Ming Shi Did you changed your duty again with Miao Miao? " asked Shen Xinyi calmly in the past she was beaten too many times by Su Ming Shi thus she was very clear of her strength and knew thatcShe could beat her if not for this comfirmation Shen Xinyi would never confront her like this. 

"So?" 

Looking at Su Ming Shi haughty profile Shen Xinyi couldn't help but feel angry in the past Su Ming Shi had given her too much trouble!

"Nothing " Su Ming Shi smirked when Shen Xinyi said this but her remaining words wiped that smirk off " I knew I couldn't expect anything else from a lady who got her virtue stolen before marriage but how come instead of hiding in your room like a normal lady you are throwing your weight around so shamelessly?" .

"You ..." Su Ming Shi was so angry that she almost vomited blood this was her only regret her only stain but the problem was that this stain was too big! Previously it was her cousin who threw himself on her forcing her but when the matter came into light he backed off ! 

Ancient times were too cruel on woman Her cousin was still living alright but she was sent to nunnery. 

Su Ming Shi was very clear on her future she knew that she had no escape from this place thus she started to oppress others in hope of living a comfortable life even as nun and she was doing so until Shen Xinyi arrived .

Furious Su Ming Shi jumped on Shen Xinyi but before she could even throw a punch on her 

Boom! 

a loud sound with a girl's scream followed .

The girls at Su Ming Shi table were all looking at Shen Xinyi horrified. 

Shen Xinyi had beaten Su Ming Shi!

None of the girls were new thus everyone knew how strong Su Ming Shi martial arts were to think Shen Xinyi will beat Su Ming Shi it was impossible in the past but now?

Horrified everyone took a step back away  from her .

"This will be the last time you will bully my sister or anyone else !since you are too happy in changing your duty I will allow you to take Miao Miao today!"

Throwing her final words Shen Xinyi turned around and left along with Shen Miao
