Logan's POVAfter my mate's breakdown, she remained buried in my chest, with her hand still clung to my shirt until she eventually went back to sleep. I guess crying for 30 minutes straight did consume all her energy.I gently placed her properly on the bed and pulled the covers over her. Her tail was still moving around before it eventually stopped.Ever since I was a kid I knew that my mate would be in some sort of danger, be it from rouges, hunters, or rival packs, given as I'm soon to be alpha of the most powerful pack in the state. To get to me they would use her. But, now, I think she'll be in more danger than I imagined. They would now want her for her powers, or better say, for her pearl that would give them power. I had to take the proper precautions if I want to keep her by my side.I quietly made my way out of the room and headed to my dad's office."Come in" was his reply to my knocks."Dad, I need to speak with you." The serious

Evangeline's POVI woke up to the rays of sunlight greeting my face. I placed my hands to slightly cover my eyes, and removed them slowly to be able to adjust them to the light.I looked around me and saw that I was alone in the room. This was the first time that I was actually able to take the chance and observe the room I'm in.It had three doors. One, I assumed was the bathroom, another I knew was the door to the outside since I saw people enter through it, and the third, was most probably a walk in closet. I wasn't really sure about it thought, but, alpha Jake had one in his room so I guess this room has one too.All of them were painted off white and were divided into five uneven squares. Each square the same color of the door but outlined with black. There was a window to my right with a seating area which had a decent amount of soft looking pillows, and a blanket folded and placed at one side. It seemed like a very comfy place, to sit and look ou

Evangeline's POVI never thought there would come a day when I would see my body crystal clear. Not a single scar or bruise. My body, the body that was treated badly for the past ten years, cut, burned, hit and other things you would never imagine had no traces of anything. I felt like I was just born.I gasped at the sight in front of me. I didn't know what to feel. Happy? Confused? In shock? It was unbelievable.I can't say of course that I hate it, on the contrary I'm a bit relieved cause if I was really Logan's mate like he claims, I wouldn't want him to have to live with an ugly, scarred mate such as myself.Thinking again, my face is still the same. I'm still ugly. I don't know why Logan didn't reject me till now, if I really was his mate.I was cut short from my thoughts when I heard Logan talk. "How did this happen?" He asked Alexis, confusion lacing his words.Alexis smiled at him and said, "The cure was in the shower gel. I added a

Logan's POV"Come in." My father's voice resonated from inside the office, which will be mine in a couple of weeks.I opened the door and entered. My father was sitting on his desk doing some paper work, a small smile played on his face upon seeing that it was me. I sat on the couch across his desk. It was made of very soft leather and was brown in color to match the rest of the office, several white and brown designed pillows scattered across it.I placed myself comfortably between them before talking to my father, my glum expression getting noticed by my father."What's wrong son?" He asked."We have to do something about the New moon pack father." I stated flatly. "Other than me wanting to avenge my mate, I don't really like the way the alpha and the higher ups treat their pack members."My father sighted deeply. "I know son, but that's none of our business. Drake is an alpha to a pack of two hundred, he has his own ways.""Ways?! What wa

Evangeline's POV Logan's hand in mine sent sparks to erupt through whole body. He gently lead me outside the bedroom and into a very long hallway. The hallway had a red carpet extending from its beginning to its end. It had two golden lines along each of its sides and it felt soft under my feet. I realised that there was only one room besides Logan's on this floor. The room was at a fair distance from Logan's room, not too far and not too close. There were also flower vases, one vase standing next to each of the bedroom doors. Their tops reached a few feet above the ground. "That's our baby's room." I heard Logan say from beside me. I didn't even realised that we have stopped walking. I looked at him in confusion, to which he just smiled. "That room," He said pointing at the other room in the hallway. "will be the room our baby resides in when he or she comes." The thought of having a baby of my own mad
