Lahat ng Kabanata ng Broken Nightmare: Kabanata 31 - Kabanata 40

My eyes scanned the woods, only finding trees and the huge shed containing every possible gun. I thought about reaching in and grabbing my shotgun.I have become pretty good at using it, but I didn't have the keys to get in there or the ammunition. Instead, I stepped closer to woods, knowing something was in there.I heard another snap to my right and turned so fast the blanket slipped from my shoulders. I saw a pair of bright green eyes. I blinked, not knowing if they were real. Then they were gone.Another twig sounded from the forest and I bolted to it before I could think about what I was doing. My legs pushed me forward from under me as I

Blake and Junto’s stumbled into Claire's room, their faces grave with a message. They glanced between Spencer and I questionably before breaking their news to us.“There is someone in the forest.”Spencer got up and followed them from Claire's room. I squeezed her hand before I followed them out. Another one? Didn't we just fight someone, like, five minutes ago?We met Nathan, Stephan, and Hyene, who had started arguing. I didn’t hear all the sides of the argument, so I stood and scooted closer to find out what was going on.When I jus

I ducked as a hard fist came for my face. Crouched, I swung my leg to trip Liam, only to have him dodge it and grab my ankle, making me stand up on one foot.I used the momentum against him and spun into the air, knocking him in the chest with my other foot. I leaped backwards, doing a flip and steadying myself with my hands.Letting go of my foot, Liam stumbled back, clenching his chest and smiling at me for a second while catching his breath. In an instant, he was back in front of me, aiming another punch for my midsection. I deflected his blow by jumping to the side, and latching onto his wrist, and twisting it behind his back.Liam jerked his leg o

I tried to open my eyes more, but that did little to show me of my surroundings. I sat up, blindly reaching and touching anything I could that might give me a clue as to where I was. A worn, ripped quilt and thin uncovered mattress lay beneath me, torn and full of holes. A patch was stiff with some sort of stain, but I couldn't tell of what due to the darkness. The mattress lay on nothing but the ground with nothing else beside it.

Only an hour had passed by, but my feet were killing me and I was tired of putting on a fake smile.I was now standing in a small circle surrounded by three other couples. They were the future Alphas of their own pack, but they seemed to be only slightly older than Nathan. Ben and Krista were the next for the Blackmoor Shade Pack, John and Angela next in line for the South Shade Pack, and Daemon and Liz inherit the Thornton Shade pack. They were all engaged in some talk about the packs. I realized I knew almost nothing of their way of life. Although Shifters go to these events to find their future mate, an Alpha just has to be eighteen in order to imprint. Not only that, but the Alpha and Luna—male and female leader of the pack&md
