Guilt

Chloe is waiting for Nero to come out of his office for the past one hour. Half an hour ago Matteo left the house and she locked the door after him. It's just Chloe and Nero now. The guards are guarding the door outside and the cook left a couple of hours ago. Her mind kept wandering back to his tensed frame. She is not naive. She understood something is bothering him, but she is not sure if it is Juan or something else. She waited for another half an hour without any sign of Nero. She sighed heavily and decided to go check on him herself. Slowly she walked towards his office and knocked on the door. But no one answered it. She frowned but decided to open it anyway. She opened the door and entered the room, which is basked in darkness. The moonlight streaming from the window behind his desk is the only light in the room. She can see his dark frame sitting on his chair, and his eyes are closed. By the way, his body is still and his fists

Need you

Nero carried Chloe towards their room and gently let her feet touch the ground. She stood in the middle of the room facing him. He tugged at her clothes and helped her to get undressed. Her t-shirt, jeans, innerwear touched the ground one after the other. She stood naked in front of him. He caressed her body like she is precious to him. She closed her eyes at the feel of his hands over her body. He bent down and softly kissed her eyes, forehead, cheeks, and then her lips. He didn't deepen the kiss, but it's rather a peck. He let the back of his palm move from her neck down towards the sides of her breasts and then her waist before he moved away from her.He stood more than a couple of feet away from her and slowly began to unbutton his shirt. He removed his shirt and then his slacks followed by his briefs. Then he carried her towards the bathroom and then made her stand under the shower. He cleaned her body without leaving an inch. And then he

Pain

Nero's plan to suffocate Juan worked out well. He was busy with implementing his plan for the past one week. He barely had time for Chloe. But every night he will come home to her and sleep beside her. But by the time Chloe wakes up, he would have already left for work.He always asks if she had breakfast, lunch and dinner. He skipped most of his meals to ensure that Juan is helpless and is on the verge of desperation. His guilt that he couldn't protect Chloe in the first place is what is driving him to finish Juan off before he could plan to hurt Chloe again. Nero is determined to make an example out of Juan.Nero advised Chloe to rest for a few days, as she had suffered so much both physically and mentally. This time she agreed without a fight. "You are mine to take care of. If you agree to that, then stay home and rest. You can start working again when you finish your education. You don't have to struggle so much anymore. Concentrate on your studies for

Break up

Chloe is sitting in her class, listening to her professor. She typed down the key points in her laptop. She is aware of the stares of the men around her. But she is not interested in any of them. The one she wants dissapeared like smoke in the air. That day one year ago, all she remembered is the unbearable pain and then she woke up to a worried Mia hovering near her bed in the hospital. She doesn't know what happened and how she ended up in the hospital. But all Mia shared with her is that, I passed out and she admitted Chloe in the hospital. Since that day forth, neither she saw Nero nor he answered any of her calls. It's as if he is just a figment of her imagination now a days. Even Mia is not talking about her brother anymore. Which is even more depressing. After her class, Chloe packed up her stuff and walked out. "Hey, are you done?" Mia asked, walking up beside her."Ya, I am done for the day" Ch

Trick

Nero is looking at Chloe's picture, which he always carries with him in his purse. Matteo is standing in front of his boss's desk with a frown. He looked at his boss, who looks so cold and unapproachable. Since he separated himself from miss Chloe, he became colder and meaner. Matteo knows the real reason behind his boss's behavior. But he himself is at the receiving end of his anger for far more times than he could count in these past four years. But it is what it is. His boss is now immersed himself in boxing matches with people more stronger and skilled than he is. To Matteo's surprise, Nero never lost a single fight. His anger and frustration are fueling him and no one could defeat him."So you are telling me that after four years Juan is regrouping and might go after Chloe again?" Nero repeated Matteo's earlier words in a deep tone.Matteo tried his best not to flinch or show his fear in front of his boss. He is loyal to Nero and it means that he cou

Party

Chloe dressed herself in a navy blue sheer body con dress, which reached her knees. It's sleeveless and has a high neckline. She combed her hair and tied it into a ponytail. She applied some mascara and pink lip gloss. She picked nude color pumps and she is ready to go. She looked at herself in the mirror and noticed that she lost a lot of weight in recent years. She sighed and turned away from the mirror. A small smile lit up her face when she imagined Mia's face if she looks at her right now. She would definitely laugh at the way she is dressed. 'Why are you dressed up like an old lady? You are just 26, dress like one' she would say. She lost the interest to dress up nicely a long time ago. She doesn't have anyone whom she is trying to impress anyway. She locked up her double bedroom apartment, which she purchased soon after she got a job. This came with a nice deal and she couldn't pass it up easily. It's on the second floor and the s

Love each other

David looked at Chloe closely. Her eyes are moving in the direction where their chairman is going. There are so many emotions playing in her eyes, he is surprised. So he was correct all along. She loved someone else and that's why she is not opening her heart to others. It's clear he too loves her deeply. But why are they not together? he thought. Chloe turned away from Nero and willed herself not to cry. But it is easier said than done. Her eyes are burning and she ran away to find a bathroom to hide. David became worried and tried to follow behind her, but their founder and chairman is already running after her. Matteo watched his boss run after miss Chloe sadly. 'They both love each other madly, but my boss's fears are making their lives miserable' he thought. David's eyes found Matteo, Who is looking in the direction where both Chloe and their chairman left. He mustered up his courage and approached Matteo slowly to ask what is going

Lost your mind

A hard punch landed on Nero's opponent, which made him stumble and fall to the ground with a loud thud. But the sound of his fall is drowned by the excited cheering of the crowd around them. Nero waited and wished that his opponent should get up and fight with him again. But to his disappointment, he didn't. Instead, the referee came and declared him as the winner of yet another round. He lost count after his fourth opponent. He has been fighting his way through the best fighters they had and he won every single time tonight. He has to say, all of his opponents tried hard to win over him, but they failed. Who wouldn't want to win over their boss? Matteo is worried for his boss. He begged his boss that they should go back home, but he is refusing to budge. He has blood everywhere on his body. Some of it belongs to his opponents and some of it his own. If this continues for a little longer, then he is not sure if his boss would be alive to see the dawn.

Heart broken

Chloe woke up feeling like shit. She cried until she passed out from exertion last night. She is not feeling much better now either. She kept remembering Nero's face again and again. For a minute she saw his helplessness and anguish when he was standing close to her in that bathroom. But when she was about to feel hopeful that he would tell her what happened and why he had to marry someone else, he left. She cannot understand why he is doing all this. She needed an explanation for his behavior. She deserves that much from him. But he is not talking to her at all. That's the most depressing thing. She needs closure from him. Just like clockwork, she showered and got dressed for work. She drives herself to the hospital and walks towards her room like a zombie. Her mind is still filled with the images of Nero and the time they spent together. David was walking towards his office when he noticed Chloe. "Good Morning Chloe" he greeted her, but all sh
